Thank you so much @camp.whynot and @bonjukbay for being an important part of this life, for being a wonderful family.

Enjoy 7 minutes of paradise with our precious party family ♥️

@camp.whynot we come together with such beautiful flow, big family yet so tight, so broadly represented and unified in sound and dance!

Over the last three years we have been so blessed to reunite both at @afrikaburn and here in @bonjukbay and safe to say we are in it for the long run!

Super duper latergram: AfrikaBurn: 2024
(Honestly, whoever posts beyond this point: drinks on me 🍺)

Since I waved goodbye to office work in late 2022, life has been crazy. I rarely take the time to properly reflect on all the beautiful memories I make with old and new friends alike.

However, after my fourth AfrikaBurn things felt different for me. Integration suddenly became very necessary. I didn’t realize it at first, but when the dust settled I felt drained, maybe even empty for a while.

We love what we do and never settle. As we push beyond our comfort zones, we welcome new challenges, only later considering the implications. This year, I was so hungry. I put on more hats (literally AND figuratively), took on more responsibilities than ever before and had great aspirations for each of the visions I was looking forward to see become reality.

Countless faces radiating with joy approached me, congratulated me and expressing their recognition but inside, negativity bias hit me hard. Few things worked out the exact way I wanted them to, most ended up being 80/20 solutions.

The best it’s ever been... yeah.. but.
Not what I wanted? Not... enough?

I thought. Now - I see it differently.
It was fucking amazing.
It was the best it’s ever been.
Still, just the beginning. 🪭

A burn challenges you and makes you grow.
As creators, as individuals, as communities.
Was it not exactly that, which I love about it?
