What was Fall Family Camp like this year?

Rainy? Yes. But also SO MUCH FUN.

We climbed, did archery, played games, made crafts, danced, roasted marshmallows, and laughed our way through a very wet weekend.

There were muddy shoes, soggy sweatshirts, new friendships, old friends, and a whole lot of kids (and grown-ups!) having the time of their lives.

We’ve said it before… you don’t need sunshine to have a really, really good time.

Thank you to every family who showed up, embraced the weather, and made this weekend such a blast. We wouldn’t trade our rainy little mountain adventure for anything.

Turns out, you really can’t rain on our parade.

My daughter went to sleepaway camp for the first time this summer at @campcheerio in the NC mountains. When we were on the way home, after picking her up, we stopped in to @chapelhillneedlepoint where Nancy just happened to have this little Camp Cheerio canvas.

North Carolina has some of the best overnight summer camps in the country 🌲⛺ From mountain adventures to coastal sailing camps, these experiences help kids build confidence, independence, friendships, and a real connection to the outdoors.

Because the best kind of summer usually includes bug spray, campfire smoke, and zero WiFi. ☀️
