Peach galette! Despite my best efforts at locking myself away from lil food projects amidst the move, I couldn’t help myself and got 10 lbs of the last-of-the-season peaches from @sheepscotgeneral. Lots of crunchy sugar on the crust, and glazed with my peach jam. Peaches forever and ever 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑

Pain de mie tomato toast! Taking a page out of @jleftis’ book with the whole roasted garlic on top (first garlic from our harvest!) Made some bread, slathered with kewpie, and tomatoes from down the road. Thai basil from the backyard, chive blossom crunchy salt, cobanero chili, black pepper. AKA all I want to eat rn (except for all the other summer bounty) 🍅🌽🍑

PS hold down the dots for a lil stop-motion action!

Summer is for new hobbies. Or old ones. Or just simply taking the time to create for the sake of creating.
🎨
@campfire.pottery knows a few things about creativity, and they made 3 new vessels specifically aligned with the creative process. We love their paint palettes and brush holders. Plus we have water color postcards, sketchbooks, beautiful paint brushes and really good pencils.

Here today from 10-5 with the AC on and the good tunes playing.

Color crush: Periwinkle

The sky behind the clouds. The hydrangeas poking their insistent blooms out (finally!). Shimmery lake reflections. The way gold pops against this particular blue.

We have a small offering of gorgeous apparel in this color and of course the ever-perfect ochre vessels by @campfire.pottery. And, a fresh stock of the Yala Statement Rings by @mulxiply.

Here today from 10-5.

Zen and the art of imperfection.

There is so much beauty in letting go. Letting the rim just be an edge. Letting nature be your guide. The Driftline Collection from @campfire.pottery is an exercise in letting the process be the point. Just a few vessels left in this museum-worthy collection.

romanticize your mornings, one vintage crystal glass of espresso, maple and cream at a time.

you better believe i sip this beauty in my silk nightie on my patio every morning and pretend i’m somewhere in the south of france or italy with my floor to ceiling balcony doors over looking the sea open and the hand spun cotton linen curtains billowing in the wind.

i also don’t hate the reality that is me and my people in the southwestern desert of the united states though, just wish i had a little more ocean every now and then.
