Conversations by @giggedoutau

Why is intergenerational exchange important to the future of Sydney’s underground electronic music scene?

We sat down with Jane Decks and Andrew Wowk - Both from different generations, but similar philosophies in music. Great chat!

Up next from them: TIMELINES — celebrating and carrying on classic sounds and merging them with the new.

Saturday Sep 12, Inner West TBA. Lorna Clarkson, Brocolli Effect, Dave Stuart Milla, Andrew Wowk, Jane Decks. $40

INTRODUCING: MILLA & DAVE STUART

Dave Stuart has plied his craft through both the best & toughest times of Sydney's nightlife for the past two decades, and is still as passionate as the first night he set foot in a DJ booth.

With a strong appreciation for deeper, dub-inspired sounds, his sets are atmospheric, warm, and grounded. His commitment to digging for music and thoughtful programming has earned him sets all over Australia, as well as internationally at Tresor/Globus, ://about blank, Salon Zur Wilden Renate, and Griessmuehle.

MILLA is a Sydney-based DJ known for her dark, hypnotic sound. Her sets move through stripped-back techno and deep minimal, built on steady rhythm and raw energy.

Balancing precision with intensity, she crafts long, immersive journeys that keep focus on the floor. Rooted in Sydney’s underground, MILLA brings a clear, uncompromising sound shaped by late nights and real connection.

They play b2b 10pm-12am at TIMELINES on September 12th.

100% of profits from this event will be donated to Divine Playhouse to help them with fight against their unfair shut-down.
