CREATOR FEATURE 001 — SUPERIOR SHOTS PHOTOGRAPHY.

A familiar presence across feeds and a regular in the house.

Different clients. Different backdrops. Different light, modifiers, props and direction. The work changes with the idea.

For Superior Shots, membership means regular access to the house—and the equipment and production tools to take each concept further.

A look at what they’ve been making here.

we all have imagination. what we build with it together is the part we’ve come to forget. creativity has become a lost art, and i’ve come to realize my purpose is in reshaping and redefining how we understand it.

sociology started as my ticket out of undergrad and became the way i move through the world. with only one semester left before obtaining my masters, i’m stepping into a role the south has never really heard of before [not even me until i did further research], a creatologist, as it would be called.

my thesis lives where sociology meets everything else, our art, rituals and traditions, our memories, and in the ways people move and interact through their everyday lives. creativity has always been infrastructure and it holds our communities together in ways we rarely take the time to recognize. for my people specifically, it’s the black re imagination.

everything you hear, see, touch, and taste was imagined by someone before it reached you. that imagining is where a community begins, and it’s the part we keep leaving out.

so as i finish this fall semester, i’m asking every louisiana and gulf south creative to click the link in my bio and take this 1-2 minute survey. it’ll help shape an original study, one i hope outlives me.

One year. 🤍

One year from today, I’ll get to call you my husband.

Through every season, every challenge, every laugh, and every milestone, I’d still choose you. Thank you for loving me the way you do, for being my peace, my best friend, and the person I get to build this beautiful life with.

What feels like a dream today will soon be our forever. I can’t wait to meet you at the altar & say “I do”.

Countdown to forever.

See you at the altar.

Over the weekend I had the absolute pleasure of going on a #sidequest to @balishouse in Baton Rouge for the SAVR x ProperListening event! If you know you know I have a deep connection with music! One of my favorite hobbies, is making playlists of my favorite artists, to reflect my mood, or simply what I been listening to on repeat lately. In high school, I thought I would be a music executive or an A&R! 😂 So being invited here felt very right! The conversations flowed! The red lighting truly set the mood just right! Being able to connect with all of these beautiful new people, a few that I’ve been familiar with them/their work, was like the cherry on top a delicious sundae! Such good vibes!!!! Plus my girl @lysanotfound_ know she can make a mean drink! 😂😂😂😂 and @camwithdaccam is always strapped and ready to take some masterpiece ass pictures!!!! I’m forever grateful to have met @virtually.kax 🥹🥹 I love yall! Fr ❤️ enjoy episode 3 of The Side Quest Series!

there are no words for what it felt like to finally be inside of the work this past weekend. it’s been almost 6 years without my dad (who is now my son), 2 years of building this work and 2 months of campaigning, and 3 days of activating it in real life.

i still wake up with things to tell you is a home for our grief and our memories. i hope over these past few weeks you were able to find your place inside this home with me.

the work will be available for private and group showings through september. if you missed the weekend or want to experience it again, more details to come soon!

oh and that merch? we have a few still available. stay connected for a special announcement tomorrow.

recaps and snapshots from @misstaylorshunter, @raggedysmiles, @jvwanjames, and @camwithdaccam above but so much more to come! you know where to find me.

@essencefest was everything this year! @thesage.company showed up strong, activating alongside @cbcpac and @rollingseaaf and connecting with so many incredible people across the weekend. I hit some panels, soaked in the energy, and celebrated culture, community, and purpose all in one place. (And of course I ate GOOD!)

New Orleans always delivers. Grateful for the work, the team, and the moments that remind me why this all matters. Already looking forward to being back next year! #essencefest
