We’re so proud to share that our park’s recycling efforts have raised over $5,700 for the Yanakie Progress Association and Yanakie CFA! ♻️ These funds have contributed to the repairs on the Yanakie Community Hall and the support of other great local projects. A huge achievement made possible by you, our wonderful guests. 💚 How it works: once the park recycling bins are full, they’re emptied into three large bays. Then, our amazing local volunteers come in to sort bottles and cans into bulk bins, ready for Michael from CDS in Wonthaggi to collect. Sorting can be a tough job (especially when doggy poo bags and nappies sneak into the recycling bins 😅) but every bit of effort is worth it when we see the difference it makes to our community. So next time you recycle your glass, cans, and plastics, know that you’re helping us give back to Yanakie… one bottle at a time. 💪 A huge shout out to the fantastic volunteers and Michael from @cancollectau Wonthaggi for helping us raise funds for the Yanakie Progress association and Yanakie CFA. @big4holidayparks #canrecycling #loveyourlocal #fundsraising
