@beyondculture.global launched at @tiff_net this week! @lovewildbefree and @markwebber have joined forces to launch Beyond Culture, an artist-led entertainment studio built at the intersection of artistic sovereignty and creative commerce. Built around a model that prioritizes creative ownership and greater financial control for artists, Beyond Culture takes inspiration from the original United Artists, founded by Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks and D.W. Griffith in 1919 to give artists greater autonomy over their work.

Congrats to everyone involved on an impressive launch!

You know the songs. Now it’s time to know the woman behind the voice.

Darlene Love helped shape the sound of 1960s pop, yet some recordings featuring her voice were released under other groups’ names.

After leaving music and cleaning houses to support her family, she fought her way back to the stage.

At 85, her story is finally receiving its own spotlight through Darlene Love: I Know Where I’ve Been, which premiered at TIFF.

Music history isn’t complete until we credit the people who actually created the sound.
