Last year I led an eight month creative container with ten women and together we’ve put together this gorgeous anthology featuring personal essays, poetry, short story, collage, drawings, paintings, photographs.

Woven through the pieces are gentle creative prompts inviting the reader to connect with their own heart wisdom.

Our Thursday 27th August event will be a celebratory showcase to explore the many landscapes of our hearts.

Tickets are donation based, with Heart Wisdom books for sale on the night!

Hope to see you there 💛🌀🥰

My heart is so warmed to be welcomed back to Words in Winter festival this August! ☺️✨

Two years ago I hosted two events when my debut book, Body Wisdom launched.

Now, I come back with an anthology to showcase: HEART WISDOM ~ A tapestry of women’s stories, poetry and creations 💚✨

Join us at the @wordsinwinter festival, Thursday 27th August 7-9PM hosted by @radiusarthepburn in Hepburn Springs, to share an intimate gathering exploring the many landscapes of the heart.

💚✨🌀
Five Heart Wisdom creatives will be sharing readings, creative arts processes and their magic for you to enjoy.

@lizeylillyart will bring us into our heart space through song

Together we will dive curiously into our own Heart Wisdom, shifting perspective with Lesley’s poetic enquiry and my @intuitiveself__ creative reflective prompts.

Our senses will feast as we screen @candice_labroye short film “Feminine Coherence”

And @filling.mums.cup will guide a creative arts therapy activity exploring the lineage of your heart line. What was inherited, what is yours, what will you pass on 🧡

~~~
Tickets are sliding scale donation on the Words in Winter festival website, linked.
Introducing 💚 Heart Wisdom Creative ✨ ~ Candice La’Broye
Candice is a dynamic filmmaker, writer, and dancer whose diverse creative passions beautifully intertwine.
In her compelling essay “Feminine Coherence,” she courageously shares her personal journey with Adenomyosis.
She delves into the concept of reaching mythical realms when the body is pushed to its limits by chronic illness.
At our Heart Wisdom launch at Words in Winter festival on 27th August, we will be screening Candices short film with the same title 🎥
Definitely not alone.
For the past few years, this has been our weekly ritual.
Reading.
Questioning.
Debating.
Rewriting.
Making every story just a little bit better.
A huge thank you to Mischa and Candice for being such an important part of the journey.
Looking back, it’s amazing to realise these conversations have helped shape nine feature films.
This week, one of them officially enters pre-production.
Here’s to the next chapter. 🎬
I am very happy to invite you to my upcoming work:
Tremendum — Part I: Inchoate Field
Saturday 27 June, 7:30pm
@ Temperance Hall
Interfusing light and dark, movement, sound, and image, with traces of Baroque, Renaissance, and Romantic lineages,
Inchoate Field marks the first emergence of a seven-part collection.
A field of unfinished arrivals—
where impulsed and choreographed pathways triangulate within structure;
where breath and weight move athwart the given form.
Composer/ sound design : Matty Vehl
Dancer-artists: Sophie Thompson, Rebekah Stuart, Sian Renee Hiley (TBC)
Early Lighting design: Giovanna Yate Gonzalez
Future Lighting designer : TBC
Image: early development rehearsing-
Photography/filming: by Mischa Baka
Concept lighting, direction, choreography: Rebekah Stuart
Assistant choreography: Sophie Thompson, Sian Renee Hiley
