It was a beautiful day to get in touch with our inner Helen's at the Mrs Roper Romp here in Seaside. It was very healing and since it was our first Roper Romp we went to and organized Amanda and I it went pretty good it was a fun and chill time it was great to see a bunch of smiling and beautiful happy Helen's having fun and I hope everyone had a blast that came and thank you Amanda for helping organize it with me and for all you do and thank you to everyone who came and made this day special.

💃🌈 MRS. ROPER ROMP – SEASIDE UPDATE & EVENT INFO 🌈💃

We’re so excited to welcome everyone to the Mrs. Roper Romp in Seaside tomorrow!
Here’s the plan for the day — with one small “go with the Flo” update. 😉

📅 WHEN & WHERE

🗓 Saturday, January 24th, 2025
⏰ Starting around 11:00 a.m.
📍 Seaside, Oregon

🕚 STARTING DETAILS (VERY IMPORTANT!)

We will be meeting in the Seaside Outlets area near Candy Fun 101 / Wine & Beer Haus for our group photo, mingling, and costume contest entries.

👉 Heads up:
We’re still waiting to hear back from the Wine & Beer Haus regarding opening at 11:00 a.m. (they typically open at noon).

✨ If the Wine & Beer Haus is not open at 11:00, no worries at all —
Candy Fun 101 WILL be open, and you can:
• Check in
• Grab your free costume contest entry ticket
• Receive a welcome prize (while supplies last)
• Drop off a non-perishable food donation (optional, but appreciated!)

Everything else on the flyer remains the same 💃

🕦 WHAT’S NEXT

🚶‍♀️ 11:45–12:15 – We’ll migrate to the north side parking lot of the Carousel Mall to meet up for our Downtown Romping Parade and explore shops.

📸 1:00 p.m. – Meet at the Roundabout for:
• Prize drawings
• A BIG group photo
• A fun stroll through the sand to the shoreline

Some Rompers may continue the fun into the afternoon/evening — totally optional!

I love shops that make me feel nostalgic. Shops that feel like little hidden gems, full of treasures and sweets, and owners that get to know their patrons by name.

So when I saw posts come up from @candyfun101 with their sweets and capybara cuties, I knew that I absolutely HAD TO come and check it out.

This adorable candy, snacks, and gift shop, is located in what looks almost like a brick lighthouse, in the Seaside Outlet Mall. The lighthouse shape is incredibly fitting, since the owner and operator, Amanda, is an absolute SHINING LIGHT of a human being. She is so genuinely welcoming to everyone who walks through her doors, offering snack samples, and showcasing her edible bubbles that flow from an adorable sunflower bubble machine.

To visit Candy Fun 101,

Just as you are.

Candies are carefully chosen for her shelves, coming from places all over the world, including Asia, South America, Europe, and more. With unusual flavors like string cheese gummies and pickle balls, and classic favorites like Ramune and their own line of Salt Water Taffy. From salty to sweet, there is something for all tastes and cravings.

Amanda sampled a Turkish Cotton Candy Roll for us today, and it was so amazing that I had to grab us a full box. I'm not usually a cotton candy person, because it's usually too sweet for my liking, but this has a subtle sweetness, and a more substantial texture that has more body to it than other cotton candy I've tried. I grabbed a box of the Pistachio flavor (with nuts!), along with some other goodies, and plan to share our samplings soon!

So do yourself a favor and stop by Candy Fun 101 in Seaside! Look for the adorable capybaras that line the walls and windows, hang out at the newly installed snack bar table, and try some goodies while you visit with an amazing human whose heart is absolute gold. 💜

I got these adorable capybara plushies with my cousin for her birthday!
Candy Fun 101 has a wonderful owner who gives locals a 10% discount on their purchase.

Yum so here I am trying out the Tupla chocolate licorice candy bars that my friend who owns Candy Fun 101 was nice enough to drop a few off for me and the boys to try. She knows I love licorice and chocolate so this I am excited about they are really good and tasty and not overwhelming black licorice it was a really nice mellow bites and the crunchies on the bar made it so amazing loved it. Those crunchies are super special though and it was real fun to eat. I am going to save my other half for a snack later on. thank you Candy Fun 101 for the delicious treat. If you like black licorice and chocolate with crispies on top you know where to go now to get a Tupla Bar and they are only $4 each. It is a unique and special candy bar.
