Our CEO and General Partner, David Olivencia, was recently featured by the Hispanic Wealth Project’s Wealth Stream News for a conversation about the growth of Angeles Investors and Angeles Ventures, the momentum across our hashtag#portfolio, and why education and access are so important to building the next generation of investors.

Yvette Triviño Pantoja is a powerhouse in any boardroom, any room. The fact that she is now a VP at Canela Media isn’t a surprise. She spent years prior at iHeartRadio, Pandora, SiriusXM, and Vox selling advertisement at the highest levels. And yes, she can sell water to a well, but she’s more than a dynamic advertising exec, she’s an example for others to follow.

Yvette is a child of Colombian immigrants. Her pops was a cabbie and her mom a schoolteacher, both of whom instilled hard work and determination in their daughter. She's a Queens girl. The product of public education but also a Hofstra grad.

She’s always had drive. She's never lacked confidence. Whether it was trying to be Angie Martinez’s intern or pushing companies as part of the street team at WBLI.

She is the epitome of Latina Power, and our daughter will be better for it. Because in her mami she sees all she can become, and more.

She went in with two successful companies behind her, a product already live, real users, and sales data. It still was not enough for most of the rooms she walked into.
