Longest trip away from LA in years 💘 went to the rockaways for the first time in almost a decade to see my friend Vanessa, walked around with Bonnie, ran into my longest standing crush Adrien Brody on my birthday!!! Ate at a couple restaurants that I’ve been wanting to for years, got to see Morgan in @canibefrankshow in its last two nights, my 6th & 7th times (incredible), walked around with Sophie in muggy drizzling heat, never made it uptown, had shrimp cocktails and deviled eggs and margaritas & mousse, had a wonderful birthday picnic, saw Bouchra by @meriembennani and @changeme2012 premier at Metrograph. Took the train to Connecticut where Arielle met me. I saw Yale and Beinekcke library. I saw Amherst, saw the outside of Emily Dickinson’s house. Smelled the best air I’ve ever smelt. Ate gluten free pizza in mass, spent the night in Vermont. Drove through so much of Vermont. Went to Montreal, walked all over the city in blistering heat, said a prayer for my mom in the notre-damn chapel. Walked through beautiful parks, was blown away by the CCA bookstore, ate arepas. Stayed in a couple hotels with friends & enjoyed fresh sheets & breakfast room service. Had the nicest time!!! 💘

At this very moment, two weeks ago, I was in the audience watching the final 8:00 p.m. performance of this year's run of How Can I Be Frank?. I saw it six times with some of my best friends. Yesterday I walked past the theater while picking up some prints and stopped to take this photo. It felt like a small message to Morgan: While you're away, I'm still grateful. Last year I caught it at the very end of its run while family was visiting. brought as many I could to share this work. Every performance revealed something new, and it felt like the first time I saw it— For the past two weeks, I've found myself humming You Have Polaroid Children.
