Let’s talk about recovery, the third pillar of fitness that often gets overlooked. Inherently, we all think of ourselves as invincible but once exhaustion kicks in, we leave ourselves vulnerable to injury. We must listen to our body first and foremost by modifying our workload based on our daily physical abilities which will depend on our energy levels created by proper nutrition, sleep and recovery activities:
1️⃣ Plan a warm up/cool down routines that include active stretching prior and static holds post workout to avoid general stiffness.
2️⃣ as we all know a solid 8h sleep will deeply help re energize. Try to cut food off a couple hours prior for a deeper slumber.
3️⃣ Hit up a banya/bathouse or spa and try to cycle between sauna and cold plunge to accelerate muscle recovery. Bonus if there is also an infrared sauna which will further help with detox and inflammation. #banyaboys #banya #recovery #fitness #fitnessrecovery #personaltrainer #health #healthiswealth
