One year without you here and I’m sad and mad and confused. How has it been a year since our world came crashing down? How are we going to live the rest of our lives without you? I miss your smile and laugh but mostly I miss your hugs. You had the best heart and this world needed it. Forever missing and loving you, baby brother.

It’s been 6 months but it feels like an eternity. 6 months without his contagious laugh, without his perfect hugs, and without his beautiful heart. I FUCKIN MISS YOU, SIMON!!! I miss my baby brother and everything he was. This picture makes me happy and sad at the same time. I just want him back 💔

Today you would have been 22. And while my first instinct was to call you as soon as I saw it was midnight- I knew I couldn’t do that this year or any year after. So today my heart hurts a little more than usual and I cry for all of us that don’t get to celebrate with you. But rest easy knowing that we are still celebrating you and finding some light in this darkness knowing that you get a Heavenly birthday this year. I will forever be missing and loving you, baby brother. Happy birthday ❤️

This shouldn’t be happening. Simon, you’ve been nothing but a true brother from another mother to me since we were little.. from getting to know each other in middle school to playing baseball together all the way to having endless conversations about our lives. If anyone would know this about me it would be you brotha and for everyone else I’m a firm believer that when God calls you home it’s time to go. And there’s nothing to complain or argue about. Unfortunately God wanted you a little earlier than we all expected bro. Nothing makes me happier than the feeling I’m getting knowing you’re fully restored doing all the hunting and fishing you want up there. I love you Simon. Thanks for all the memories that I’ll never forget. Our journey will continue I promise 😢

I want to say a HUGE thank you to my wonderful family for coming to see me yesterday! I know you're all super busy and I'm so thankful this could happen. I love you from the bottom of my heart and can't wait to see you again shortly! ❤️ and don't worry, I wrote down the souvenir list 😉
