I’ve been thinking about medicine, I’ve been thinking about beauty as sustenance, about flowers as linguistic conduits of unspeakable grief and unconditional joy.

For mental fortitude in thinking about the coming high season, I revisited an essay that my dear friend Adrian @canonkiller wrote about my work. The photos he took as well, because at times I suppose it helps to clarify one’s vision to see oneself through another’s lens. I also harvested from my camera roll videos of the garden at my former home in Baltimore, to which I contributed along with my neighbor @angelcheeksfloral (among many others) at the time that he wrote that piece.

Swipe to the end for Oceola, the cutest pitbull in the world @temperdia

PS, my website is down for reconstruction but will be live soon!

Very tired but our heart is full. And that’s a good night out on the town. Sunday reminder: Simple Pleasures in America. Get out there. Go do the things.

Congratulations to my childhood best friend Ashley Markey and Adrian Elliott on their union! To refresh everyone's memory, we were unseparable from the ages of 11 to 16, and I had the pleasure of watching their love story from the very beginning in 2003!! 20 years later these 2 finally tied the knot and I am so blessed to be a part of this love story (all the days of you Ash coming over to my house after school hoping we would see him skateboard by so you could run to the park!!) It was so wonderful seeing a lot of my good friends from middle/high school courtland days tonight. It felt like a mini reunion, and not to mention, I had the hottest date there 💕💕 congrats to this beautiful couple and cheers to a lifetime to come ❤️❤️
