THANK YOU @canyonridge for the backpacks!!! 😊 Today we were able to give backpacks to the students at our Las Vegas Center all thanks to our partner @canyonridge. Our students were so excited to receive a backpack full of school supplies for the upcoming school year. Can you tell that the student in the 7th photo is super happy about his dino backpack?? 😁🥰

Love this story!

Did you know this about Tim?

Pam and her husband Bob were serving as missionaries to the Philippines and praying for a fifth child. Pam contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink.
She went into a coma and was treated with strong antibiotics before they discovered she was pregnant. Doctors urged her to abort the baby for her own safety, telling her the medicines had caused irreversible damage to her baby. She refused the abortion and cited her Christian faith as the reason for her hope that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted.
While pregnant, Pam nearly lost their baby four times, but still refused to consider abortion. She recalled making a pledge to God with her husband: If you give us a son, we’ll name him Timothy and we’ll make him a preacher.
Pam ultimately spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed and eventually gave birth to a healthy baby boy on August 14, 1987.
Pam’s youngest son is indeed a preacher. He preaches in prisons, makes hospital visits, and serves with his father’s ministry in the Philippines.
He also played football. His name is Tim Tebow! Oh and he’s now married to the former Miss Universe

One final thank you before we sign off to change into our party clothes! Tonight's celebration is also about honoring the organizations that have supported us over and over again throughout the years. Whether it be space to host career fairs, or donating to support our clients. Thank you so much:
@genehaasfoundation, @cityofhenderson, @thecrossinglv, @canyonridge and so many others that have helped us achieve this milestone. See you soon!

🤯Has anything like this happened to you?

⚠️TW- religious trauma

I heard this quite often from the places I grew up in as a kid. My parents would even say at times if I was going through health problems it was because of this.

This also included my anorexia and physical abuse that I experienced. There’s absolutely no reference in scripture to the “good shepherd” breaking a sheep’s leg. I also discovered today that historically this is completely inaccurate! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

When I say I had a moment today… I was literally swimming in tears by the end of the service.

I was actually starting to get worried that the pastor didn’t make reference to the leg breaking. So I started researching on my own and realized it was never in there in the first place.

Thank you Pastor Mitch for this!!! Thank you for teaching the truth!
