Our Autumn Oyster Fest took place on the most beautiful fall evening! Nights like these are unforgettable; delicious oysters and food enjoyed with live music, drinks shared with friends and memories being made. It means the world to us that you chose to spend your evening at the farm in support of our nonprofit, A Meaningful Purpose. Thank you for believing in our mission and being here with us. We could not have had a prettier night for our Rooted in Flavor dinner with Chef Deb Pellegrino and her Borgata team 😍 It was a stunning night full of delicious food and great conversation about a great cause. Our nonprofit, A Meaningful Purpose at Reed’s Farm could not be possible without nights like this and people who care about our mission. Over the years Borgata has been a huge supporter of our mission. From funding our soup program to purchasing a greenhouse for the farm, our partnership has provided fresh food and resources to the community. We cannot thank Borgata enough for their generosity. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in creating this beautiful event and everyone who attended ❤️

“Lil Loup” Oysters Harvest Area- Cape Shore, Delaware Bay, NJ Growing method- Lil Loup Oysters are started in floating cages on Tommy Burke’s @slooppointoystercompany farm in the northern reaches of Barnegat Bay known as Swan Point. This period of growth in floating cages encourages formation of a deep cup and incredibly uniform, consistent shape. Towards the end of their grow out, Lil Loups are finished off in rack and bag gear on the Cape May Salt Oyster farm by @capeharborshellfish . These oysters have a wonderful complexity and pleasant balance of salty and sweet, all contained inside absolutely gorgeous shells. Come slurp ‘em back @myloup.phl !!!

The first-ever Cape May Oyster Festival was an overwhelming success! 500 attendees + 6,000 oysters later, I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who took part in this amazing project, it was a dream come true! THANK YOU! Cannot wait for year two…
