This pride month we are excited to launch a raffle fundraiser for Michael Kimble. Artists from all over Alabama have come together to support Michael, prison abolition, and collective liberation.

The raffle will run until June 30th; winners will be announced on July 1. The link to donate can be found in our bio, on page 4, and below.

Thank you to all of the wonderful artists who have contributed <3

As Michael says, “People are the most beautiful when in struggle.” May this pride month be full of queer resistance and collective liberation!

“Ultimately we cannot see our way clear to requiring Alabamians to cast their votes in the 2026 elections under a districting plan tainted by intentional race-based discrimination”.

This is what the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, a three-judge federal panel, wrote in their preliminary injunction issued this past Monday May 25th, effectively thwarting the Republican parties attempt to dilute Black Alabamian’s votes through obvious gerrymandering.

However this has not stopped Gov. Kay Ivey from voiding the recent primary election results for Senate Districts 25 and 26 and setting special elections hoping to win the seats for the republican majority.

It’s obvious that the fascists in power and billionaire class desire a return of the same Jim Crow laws and restrictions that allowed for racist segregation and disenfranchisement in the South for decades. This is why we must organize and unite as a society to bury the oligarchy that fuels this exploitative and corrupt system. Only when We The People control our own destiny will we ever see a real change in this country.

We must unite together to bury the capitalist class that supports imperialist suffering across the world and work to plant a new tomorrow.

Slide 1-3 are photos of a tshirt print design.

Slide 4 is a "Bury Jim Crow" Labour Youth League commemorative pin and the inspiration for the above "Bury The Oligarchy" print design. The LYL were a Marxist/Leninist youth organization affiliated with the Communist party and established in 1949. They worked to mobilize the working class around civil rights and workers rights.

So I guess growing up for me is going and seeing all the bands I loved since I was a kid until I die. More than one person was shocked to find out that I hadn’t seen Modest Mouse perform until a few weeks ago and I mean, that’s fair. It took 20 years but I made it to see my favorite band. 16 year old Hayley was more than satisfied.

“Medicators” acrylic + house paint on 8.5” x 11” old petroleum survey book page, float mounted in 11” x 14” wood frame.

For years, I’ve always wanted to write narrative songs, or more specifically lyrics; the only problem is I can’t sing, play any instruments, or focus on one project long enough to put together a full story . . . Which makes it tough.

So, I’m left with these extra short stories I make up that I can’t turn into songs and aren’t quite poems. They apparently have started to leak out more directly into some of my art. This is one of the them.

Available via @el.studios.woodlawn through the end of the month. DM me or the gallery for more info.

Text reads: I’m always ahead on my medication / you tend to be behind / I get mine from the backseat of a black car / you wait for yours in a pharmacy line.
