Capital Dance Project ‘26 ❤️

So incredibly thankful for this amazing team & so proud of the show we created (despite the bumps in the road 🤪). Nothing can rain on our parade! Had a blast choreographing & collaborating for the first time this year 🎶🩰
much love 💋

This week at Cultural Capital we're cruising to a screening of "Soul Searchin'," a documentary about a Los Angeles crew with the world's ultimate collection of rare soul vinyl and their efforts to preserve low rider oldies musical culture.

Also, we're headed to Gold Country for the debut Auburn Alt Fest and a local fair, plus a musical battle of local breweries and more.

Thanks for all your support as @abridged_pbskvie heads toward its first birthday. Link in bio, Si mon!

Here’s to hoping everyone had a beautiful Labor Day weekend!

Take a peek at this dual event recap!

The CDP danced the night away while SacTheatreCon sang the night away! Both events were such a blast!

Such a fun night of artistic expression!

Keep following to see what happens next at The CLARA!

Part 3/3 of @capitaldanceproject ♥️✨

My very first time capturing a live performance with my @fujifilmx_us , and It wasn’t bad at all.

I really underestimated this little camera. It’s always been my travel camera, never my “professional” one... but I’m falling more in love with it every single shoot. 🤍

Here’s some behind the scenes, the things you don’t see on stage, but are still there, holding everything together.

Huge shoutout to every human who made this happen.
This kind of magic doesn’t happen by itself.

Part 2/3 from @capitaldanceproject ♥️

Photography is art, dance is art, music is art, architecture is art.
Everything you’re about to see here, is art.

As a photographer, my job isn’t just to capture a moment. It’s to freeze the emotion, the movement, the story behind it, so it can be seen and felt.
Art isn’t meant to stay hidden. It’s meant to be witnessed. ♥️
Sacramento really showed up ✨

Stunning embodiment of the magic of truly interwoven collaboration in the arts at Beyond the Barre by @capitaldanceproject last night at @claramidtown

True cross-disciplinary art takes authenticity, humbleness, and persistent dedication. Choreographers collaborated with artists ranging from architects, installation artists, musicians, and painters. The result was awe inspiring. Bravo to all the Sacramento artists who made this happen. 👏👏👏
