Falling is the second of two new releases from the ‘house of Benirrás’ available today (28/08/26) on all platforms. Both tracks were written back in 2012, when I was producing under the name ‘Coolmadina’ and were instrumental in initiating the discussions between myself and Matt that finally saw us join forces as a production partnership. After all these years, it is an absolute joy to be able to finally share these with you as part of our Benirrás Beach Club release schedule. I hope you agree with me when I say that I think both tracks (Esperanza and Falling) have withstood the test of time. Long may that continue!

It’s ok to change your mind about something right?
Let me explain why I am starting this with a question designed to garner affirmation. Last week I told you that Beach Club 71b (Sand) <link in bio> would be ‘maximum soulful house vibes’ At the time, this statement was true but I then I started putting the mix together and wasn’t entirely happy with the tracks I’d purchased. So I pressed the reset button and started over. The soulful vibe is still there but clearly I wasn’t done with the party that 71a kicked-off. I make no apologies for this deviation because the net result is a complete step up on the original intent. They say even the best plans never survive ‘first contact with the enemy’ Often whatever it is you think you’re going to do never ends up being what you expected. I love that element of serendipity in life. This one will surprise you in places but don’t prepare, just press play and surrender to the groove.
Thank you as always for listening.
Much Love

It’s been quite some years now since I last failed to release a mix in a given month but July 2026 was one of those. Sadly it was unavoidable given I was completely immersed in getting everything ready to release our debut single, not least of these efforts was the setting up our own record label ‘Salt & Sand Records’.
The good news however, is that you will now find Benirrás Beach Club listed as a registered artist on all digital platforms where you can stream/purchase the Original and Remixed versions of ‘Garlands (made us do it)’
It’s impossible to explain just how proud that makes me feel right now and pride should be celebrated, in my humble opinion. So to honour the debut release and repay your patience I am going to gift you 2 Mixes this month. The first, ‘Beach Club 71-Salt’ (link in bio) is a celebration. A collection of tracks including the Dig Deep remix of Garlands by SILAS (UK) this set eases you in with a Disco vibe but the mood builds to a frenzied party of grooves and thumping baselines guaranteed to bring out the reveller in all of us. ‘Beach Club 71-Sand’ will bring maximum deep/soulful house vibes and will be available next Friday.
For now though press play and get ready to dance. Resistance is futile.
Thank you for you patience and as always for listening
Much Love

To celebrate the release of my remix of ‘Garlands’ I recently had the pleasure of sitting down and picking 10 of my favourite tracks at the moment for DMC Magazine for their ‘Trainspotting’ feature. Check out what I picked➡️ What’s your favourite? Full article in my bio 🔗

Every now and then in music, a rare talent emerges seemingly from nowhere; a rising star whose light shines so bright it’s impossible to ignore. In the world of Dance Music production, SILAS (UK) ticks all of those boxes unquestionably and yet graciously. The latter of those two qualities, is often a rarity when combined with raw and obvious talent.
I first encountered SILAS performing as a DJ and yes his talent was more than ‘obvious’ but it wasn’t raw. It was refined beyond his years. His performance led me to suspect he would have a natural flare for music production. His awareness and interpretation of rhythm was exceptional, his technical mixing ability, beyond anything I could ever wish to achieve. Our conversations continued beyond that evening and he began sharing his new tracks with me, a simple act of kindness but one that served to confirm my suspicions about his producer skillset.

Even before we’d finished producing ‘Garlands’, I knew there were two people I wanted to remix the track. @richardearnshaw & @silas_musicofficial . I am more than happy to confess that I have been a devout fan of Rich’s for many years (it’s ok, I’ve told him so myself). He’s one of the best House Music producers out there; with an incredible reputation for producing the highest quality ‘floor fillers’. There is a very distinct vibe to his work and I wanted that to be part of the Garlands release pack.

SILAS may not be quite as well known at this early stage of his career, but don’t let that ‘burgeoning factor’ influence your expectation. His productions have energy and quality in spades and his reputation for these characteristics is already on a stratospheric trajectory. Asking Silas to remix Garlands was a complete ‘no-brainer’ and I do think the timing was exquisite. I was lucky enough to catch him at this stage of his career; but light from a rising star travels fast and we are on the precipice of ‘SILAS (UK)’ becoming a household name.

If I still haven’t convinced you, give yourself 6m & 3s to listen to his masterful rework of our track and decide for yourself.

Welcome to Salt & Sand Records.
Founded in 2026 by Jay Benirrás and Matt Capone, the creators of Benirrás Beach Club, Salt & Sand Records is a boutique independent record label and creative music house born from a desire for complete artistic independence. Established to unite music, visual identity and storytelling under one vision, the label empowers artists to build enduring brands rather than simply release records.

Collaboration lies at the heart of the label, with every songwriter, producer, vocalist and remixer recognised as an equal creative partner.
With Benirrás Beach Club as its flagship artist, the label develops music for streaming, luxury hospitality and premium lifestyle experiences.
