When a space ranger crash-lands in the lush hills of Kerala, three unsuspecting cousins find themselves pulled into something far bigger than they ever imagined. Along with him comes a mysterious core, an object of immense importance that he’s sworn to protect at all costs. But when a terrifying otherworldly creature rips through their reality, the story raises a compelling question: will he follow his final command… or rise as Earth’s new guardian?

The first issue delivers a highly engaging mix of action, humor, and grounded, relatable moments. The dialogue feels fresh and natural, packed with quirky and fun slang that adds personality to the characters. Despite being an introductory issue, the narrative does a solid job setting up the stakes, culminating in a thrilling and satisfying confrontation with a monstrous entity from beyond Earth.

Visually, the comic stands out. The panels are dynamic and well-structured, maintaining a strong grip on the reader’s attention throughout. The artwork is detailed, and the coloring leans into a vibrant, synth-inspired space fantasy aesthetic that perfectly complements the tone of the story.

As a debut issue, it primarily focuses on establishing the world and characters but it does so effectively enough to leave readers wanting more. This is a promising start, and an impressive attempt at building what could become an exciting new universe.
overall A strong, visually striking debut that blends sci-fi action with humor and intrigue. Captain Raaj is definitely a universe worth keeping an eye on.

We often look for stories that feature heroes who look like us, with sidekicks and settings that feel just like home. Captain Raaj is a significant step toward making that a reality

By placing a Space Ranger in the hills of Kerala and pairing him with a motley crew of local cousins, @carmond_infinity and @weekendblockbusters have created something that feels both global in scale and local in spirit. It is an ambitious project that finally brings the superhero genre into our own backyard.
