Our Tuesday Tot Spot comes a day late to Instagram (let’s blame Albie going viral!!) and this lovely story comes from the USA. Proud dad Brandon Castle writes... “Where do I even begin with this post... I’ll start off by saying what a blessing this life is. Close to nine months ago we found out we were expecting our first child. Shortly after that, we found out that she was diagnosed with Trisomy 21 (Downs Syndrome). As first-time parents, this threw us through a rollercoaster of emotions. However, very quickly we came to realize how lucky we really were. On 8 January our sweet Mirabella Lamoun Castle was born (shares a birthday with Elvis, David Bowie and Stephen Hawkins). Although she came 6 weeks early, that didn’t stop here from being the most precious strong-willed newborn. Fast forward to today, and we finally got to take our little Rockstar home! I’ve worn a lot of titles in my life, but Dad is by far my favorite. I can’t thank my partner in life Elizabeth Bilfeld enough for not only rocking through the pregnancy, having our daughter all natural, but for being the amazing mother you are for our daughter. I also want to thank our family and friends for all the support and love and all the NICU Nurses at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for taking tremendous care of our sweet girl. Mirabella Lamoun Castle; you are loved, you are beautiful, you are strong. But most of all, you are capable. Capable to tackle on your wildest dreams. Life is just getting started and I can’t wait for the all the adventures to come! #UpsideOfDowns #TheLuckyFew” Always happy for our posts to be shared.
