So… Edfest 2026 🥹

I actually can’t believe we did it.

When I first had the idea for Edfest I had absolutely no idea if people would even come. Then somehow 450 people turned up 😂

It rained. It stormed. Unfortunately we had to cancel things last minute. Things went wrong. A LOT went wrong. We even had issues with accessibility because the accessible entrance door wasn’t opening properly, which was really frustrating, especially when accessibility is such a huge part of why we created Edfest in the first place.

But despite all of that, we still raised over £3,000 for Edward.

And honestly, I’m really proud of that.

I’ve had a few days now to think about it and I keep coming back to the fact that this was our FIRST one.

I’ve learnt so much from doing it and there’s definitely things I’ll do differently next time. I already have about 500 ideas for Edfest 2027 😂

So thank you. To everyone who came, donated, volunteered, helped out, had a stall, performed, shared a post or just supported us.

You made Edfest happen.

Now… let’s see what we can do with Edfest 2027 👀💙

My baby boy turned 4 just a week ago, and I still can't believe he'll be starting Reception in September. 🥹❤️ Time really does fly.

Raphael had one very important request for his birthday... a superhero party! 🦸 And I knew exactly who to call.

A huge thank you to @captainfantastickids for making his day so special. This is the second time we've had them entertain at one of our parties, and once again they were absolutely brilliant.

This time we had Danny, and she was incredible from start to finish. She called me a few days before the party to get to know Raphael, asking about his personality, whether he had siblings, and even learning Arthur's name. That personal touch meant so much.

What impressed me most was how naturally she connected with the children. She followed Raphael's lead, never pushing him to join in, but gently encouraging him until he felt comfortable. She also made sure Arthur felt included throughout, which I really appreciated as a mum.

Watching Raphael laugh, play, and make amazing memories with his friends was everything I could have wished for. 💙

Thank you, Danny, and the whole @captainfantastickids team for giving Raphael such an unforgettable birthday.

If you're looking for an entertainer who truly goes above and beyond to make your child's party magical, I couldn't recommend them more. ✨🎉

29th of July....my youngest, Raphael, turned 4... and I honestly can't believe it. 🥹💙

He is the sweetest, kindest, most caring little boy and, without a doubt, a total mummy's boy 🤭 (which I have to admit, I absolutely love!).

Watching the bond between Raphael and his big brother, Arthur, is one of the greatest joys of my life. The love they have for each other reminds me every day that I'm doing something right.

My darling boy, never stop being funny. Never stop being you. Be loud, be fearless, dream big, and always remember that you are loved beyond words.

Mummy will love you forever and ever. Happy 4th Birthday, Raphael. 🎂🎈💙
