POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

ten years ago, hurricane matthew was headed straight for our wedding day. people told us to postpone until spring. i told him i didn’t care if we got married in a pizza hut parking lot. i just wanted to marry him. so we rearranged everything in 48 hours. a different (but better) venue. food, flowers and even a cake from other weddings that were canceled and friends and family that were able to get here just in time. it was more special than anything we could have planned. a decade (!!!) later, i’d still choose him in any parking lot or any storm. 🤍

miles & nora: first day of school. let’s go. 📚☀️🍎✏️🚌
(i only cried a little because when i unzipped nora’s backpack to get her folder out for her teacher, her ratty llama was there looking at me and it made me remember that they are still just so little but still so big. 🥺)

three weeks of practices, hard work, and a whole lot of heart. miles poured everything into this and it showed. 💙🧡 the hanahan hawks all stars may not have brought home the trophy, but watching these boys come together and compete was everything. disappointed? a little. proud? absolutely. all stars in every sense of the word. ⚾

and a special shoutout to nora — the best baseball sister around — who came along to every practice and game for the regular and all star season. she didn’t go home empty handed though… the snack and kona ice game was strong. 😄🧡

46 looks good on you, babe. always chasing the next adventure, knowing exactly where the fish are biting, and never saying no to a good time. cheers to many more tight lines and stories slightly exaggerated 😉 🎣 🍻

From the tiniest preemie in the NICU to the kindest, funniest, and most creative kid around — Miles continues to amaze me every single day. His heart is pure gold, and his curiosity and imagination never stop growing. Happy 8th birthday to my sweet boy 💙
