Islam is a condition of the human heart. One who reads the Quran through eyes of mercy and compassion see that same message very clearly. These are people with a right heart. Those that read it through a filter of violence and hatred on their eyes pluck out verses and attach their motives to them to ease their guilty consciences. That doesn't make it the fault of the source, just the perception of the reader. Any sane person with a heart taking the time to familiarize themselves with the history around the events it chronicles (just as some would do with Torah or the Bible to better understand it's messaging) will see it in no wise condones violence. Extremists pick and choose what suits their agendas, and ignore the call to love that is prevalent in its pages. Just saying - please don't throw away the entire keg of apples for a handful of rotten fruit.
