Dear Drum Corps Diary, Hey so I just got home and I have so many memories in this little rectangle of mine and can only post 20 at a time. (This is gentle foreshadowing) Okay first of all, GOLD COLOR GUARD OMG. Truly such an incredible team to work with. These kids were my motivation to get out of bed every day, to wake up bright and early just to hoot and holler and dance first thing in the morning. Their energy and their FIGHT to keep learning and growing has been inspiring, to say the least. Our strong and mighty group of 11 rookies conquered their season and made HISTORY by being the smallest open class color guard in the last 15 years to win a title AND by giving Gold their first ever color guard caption award. Second, two words. Carrie! Appel! I already knew Carrie was That Diva but spending this entire season working under her leadership has taught me so much about what it means to be passionate about the work you do. She is the definition of Choosing Success and has been the most determined person I know. I am extremely grateful for the chance to work for her, as well as the whole frickin Gold staff. These sleep deprived adults made the challenging parts of this summer survivable and more memorable than I’d have thought. If you’re reading this and we shared the field (or track or gym or Whataburger drive thru) together, THANK YOU for making my job so joyful. Lastly, huge amazing shoutout to @justinchlee for being my other half during this last stretch of tour. My best friend and my source of sanity. Thank you for holding my hand through every rainstorm, show day, ensemble, and everything in between. And also for telling me to relax my shoulders when I pose for pictures. I LOVE YOU❕ That’s all for now, okay bye thank you Diary. - Bon 💛 #drumcorps #colorguard #luminous #dci2026

Shoutout to all the media team members and photographers that captured the West Coast DCI shows. Sorry I didn’t get everyone, but here are a few. And if I missed a tag for you let me know and I will put one on. Hope to see many of you in Indy!
