Conversation • Connection • Community

This weekend’s focus was to identify barriers within the community, to connect and share with each other, our experiences and what the youth that we mentor, experience; and of course have the tough conversations that need to happen in order to foster healthy change.

The needs assessment survey by @tamar.carter1 , encouraged myself and the leaders of the TKBA to think critically about areas that need improvement and what is essential for the patrons of TKBA to continue to thrive.

This retreat allowed me to share some truths about myself that fear always lingered over, because of judgment or gossip. It allowed others to do the same as well. Overall a major thank you goes out to everyone who had a hand in making it possible.
