The many gowns I tried were each beautiful and unique in their own way. I didn’t choose the puffy dress since it wasn’t the best fit for a garden setting, but I’m so glad the mermaid dress pulled it off perfectly.” 🌿✨

How I wish Mum could have been there in person on our wedding day - yet in every meaningful way, she filled the room. @lucdavhess and I chose to use this one divine day to honour everyone we love: those who stood beside us, and those we eagerly look forward to embracing again one day.

Thank you, @gabriella_praditha, for bringing my dream dress to life. What began as a design process with back and forth trips to Jakarta, quietly turned into a friendship I now treasure deeply. It has been such an emotional journey for both of us - sharing our faiths, stories of our families, and our memories, and stitching them together into an immersive tapestry.

✨ The halter neckline is shaped into the breast-cancer awareness ribbon, a quiet tribute to my mother’s courageous double battle.
✨ Edelweiss blooms celebrate my husband’s homeland, Switzerland.
✨ The roses and gold dragon brooch on my back carry my mother with me - Rosaline, born in the Year of the Dragon - a reminder that she literally always has my back.
✨ The family house symbolises my parents’ marriage - my safe place
✨ The stallion honours my father, born in the Year of the Horse — the steadfast protector of our family home.
✨ The mountains pay homage to Switzerland’s majestic Alps.
✨ The daffodils along the hem nod to our family’s beloved childhood poem by William Wordsworth.
✨ Dragonflies represent my paternal grandparents’ hometown, Kuala Selangor - also the very place I first fell in love with Lucas.
✨ The Chinese character 囍 (Xi) celebrates the union of two people and the double happiness it brings to both families.
✨ And finally, two lovebirds rest quietly within the halter, inviting blessings and good fortune into our marriage.

We had to capture this reel because it marks the moment I realized it was raining on the morning of our Holy Matrimonial Ceremony ☂️ Just before this, I had slipped away to pray alone, asking God whether this was something I should be worried about.

In that quiet moment, I felt His gentle reassurance that it was a non-issue, and a reminder not to lose sight of the true meaning of marriage - the promise of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Soon after, the skies opened and the sun shone brightly as I walked down the aisle. God is truly miraculous, omnipotent and sovereign in His beautiful display of blessings.

I am so grateful to my bridesmaids for knowing exactly what to say to calm me down from “God wants to wash away the past like a baptism and open the skies for a new chapter” to “It had to be this way so the floor could dry up” LOL
