It’s opening week and we could not be more excited!!🥯🥳 Before we officially open our doors, we wanted to share the story behind Sunday Bagels. We’re Andrew and Lizzy, a young couple who love all things food! In December 2024, Andrew got a pizza oven for Christmas and started experimenting with sourdough. A few months later, he made his first batch of sourdough bagels and brought them to Lizzy’s house one Sunday. That first batch quickly turned into a tradition with more and more friends coming each week! Lizzy then had the idea to make things more official. She created a logo, featuring Andrew’s black lab, Remi🐾, sent out an order form, and started this Instagram account! We then started baking and selling out of Andrew’s apartment, it began with friends and mutual friends coming to pickup their orders each Sunday! Eventually, the instagram took off and people we’d never met were coming to the apartment to try our bagels. That’s when we decided to take our little side hustle to the Oxford Community Market, where we expected 10–20 people and instead had nearly 100 people in line. We sold out in just 23 minutes🥹 (the second slide is our reaction to selling out on our first market) Over the next five months, Oxford continued to show us more love than we could have imagined, until our operation outgrew our little home kitchen. Now, what started with a pizza oven, a Sunday tradition, and a whole lot of dough has become our very own storefront inside Oxford Creamery. We’re beyond grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey, and we can’t wait to finally open our doors. Opening week, here we come!!!🤗🤗
