If only we could press pause on childhood 🤍

The little feet running wild, the contagious giggles, the messy hair, and the magic tucked into the most ordinary moments.

I’m always chasing the moments that pass too quickly. The real, unscripted, beautifully imperfect pieces of childhood that deserve to be remembered.

We can’t slow down time but we can freeze a little piece of it.

And someday, these will be the moments that mean everything. ✨

Everyone thinks you need a whole list of prompts and poses to get through a family session, but I’m going to let you in on a little secret… you don’t.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is pause. Stop directing. Give your clients a second to breathe, settle in, and just be together.

When you leave a little room to simply observe, you start noticing the good stuff. The little interactions, the way they naturally connect, and the moments that happen without you asking for them.

Editing away this gallery and loved this moment here. 🐚💕

Jak w zaczarowanym ogrodzie… 🌿✨

Tworzę filmowe fotografie pełne światła, emocji i magii.

💌 Podziel się swoją historią i stwórzmy razem niezwykłą opowieść.

We absolutely have fun. 😂

The best compliment I got was at the end of this session when the kids came up to me and told me how much fun they had.

I truly love to play during my sessions. We run, laugh, get a little messy and let kids be kids. And honestly, that’s when the best moments happen.

The best sessions don’t just look good. They feel good too. 🤍

A week spent with only one child has been incredibly strange and quiet! Nice to get some quality one-on-one time with this wild girl though! 🥰

I think I’ll always want to remember us exactly like this 🤍

Messy hair, muddy knees, laughing until we can’t breathe, making up adventures as we go…

These are the bits I want to keep. Not the perfect days, just the real ones. The ordinary little moments that somehow become the ones you’d give anything to have back.

She’s growing up, I’m growing older, and somehow we’re doing it side by side.

And every now and then, something takes me straight back to when she was tiny… like this song, when she used to sing “monsters away” instead of “once there was a way” 🥹

I think I’ll always want to remember every version of her.

But if I could keep one little piece of this life forever, I think it would be this.

Us. Exactly like this 🤍

There’s something about walking towards an old ruin that makes you wonder what you’re going to find.

And then, of course, Parker found the climbing opportunities 😂

There’s something I love about watching her explore places like this — scrambling over old stone, climbing where she can, disappearing off to investigate whatever has caught her eye.

And maybe it’s that sense of wonder I love most. Wondering who stood here before us. Who walked through these doorways, sat within these walls, laughed here, loved here, lived their ordinary little lives here. And if these old ruins could talk, what stories they might tell.

No screens. No itinerary. No particular purpose. Just a kid being a kid, somewhere with a bit of history beneath her feet and a whole lot of imagination in her head.

Recreation, apparently.

And honestly? I’ll take this kind 🤎

I stumbled back across this session and immediately knew I wanted to bring it into the style that feels like me now.

And I think that’s one of my favorite things about photography.

Styles change.
Editing changes.
We grow. We learn. We see things differently.

But the part that actually matters?

Her laugh between her parents.
Bare feet in the sand.
Windblown hair.
Being picked up and spun around.
The way they looked at each other when nobody was worried about the camera.

That part doesn’t age.

Four years later, these images still feel like something — and that is exactly what I want your photos to do.

As a Missouri family and couples photographer, I don’t want your gallery to feel like a collection of everyone standing perfectly still and smiling at the camera.

I want the movement. The chaos. The tiny hands. The belly laughs. The wind in your hair. The way your family actually loves each other in this exact season of life.

Whether I’m photographing a family here in Missouri, a couple somewhere along the California coast, or one day documenting people at all of those dream destinations I keep tucked away in my head, that will always be the goal:

Photos that feel like you.

Because someday, the things you thought were the “imperfect” parts might be the exact things you’d give anything to experience one more time.

That’s why I love lifestyle family photography and storytelling couples photography so much. It isn’t about making every moment look perfect.

It’s about making sure the real ones aren’t forgotten.

So yes, photographers evolve.

But the moments?

Those were worth documenting all along. 🤍
