We are so excited to welcome Hunter Hambrick and his family to our church family! Hunter will be joining us as our new Executive Pastor, and we can’t wait to see all that the Lord has in store for this next season. After moving from Colorado back to the 901, we’re excited to welcome them home! We bought a house!!! 🏡 Glory be to God! We’re so excited to put down roots in a neighborhood we love. Proud to be Memphians! #choose901 Home sweet home :) Shoutout to @kristishackrealtor for being so incredible!! Kristi was informative, professional, and HUSTLING throughout the whole home buying process. So gracious, kind, and patient. We love you! All star in-laws… many thanks to the MANY friends, family, and even strangers who helped us get packed up and moved in so quickly! What a gift. The Clampetts leaving Colorado lol No sweeter sight… We unloaded in 42 minutes – I think that’s a record. 👀

Major life update: the Hambricks are moving! This time back home to Memphis, TN (Mary Junia’s not quite sure how she feels about it just yet 😂). I’m super excited to share more about what’s in store for our family in this next season. But, for now, we are mainly mourning saying goodbye to our people in Denver. How do you summarize seven years of community into a single post? You can’t… @pbcdenver @crosspurpose & @denverseminary have quite literally become our spiritual family. “Deep Roots” is one of our core values at Providence. Which means if you “uproot,” it should hurt. Otherwise, you probably weren’t doing things right. (Shallow Christianity just isn’t an option for the disciple of Jesus.) Anyone who has known me for any length of time knows I’ve felt called to the city of Memphis most of my life. So we are incredibly eager to give the next four decades of our life to see the gospel go forth by the power of the Holy Spirit in word, deed, and sign in the city that we love so much. But we can only really join the redemptive work God is already doing in that great place because we have apprenticed under a ministry which has taught us the transformative power of Jesus-centered relationships. We will not be the same because of the trajectory shaping influence of our time in Denver. We’re coming back home with two masters degrees, a baby girl and a PhD on the way. But more importantly than any of that, we are coming home more secure in the abiding love of God than ever before. Because we now know love – not in the abstract – but in the concrete details of God’s covenant people. May the Lord multiply the talents of the investment we have received in this community of remarkable saints for His glory, our joy, and the world’s good. WE’RE COMING HOME MEMPHIS!!!

This summer was a blur but here are some highlights. It’s mainly Mary Junia at this point. But I’m not mad about it. 😍 7️⃣th Anniversary with the love of my life (thanks to babysitting from the world’s best mother-in-law). Got to worship with @charlottechapel_ in Edinburgh last May. Fantastic church! Scotland being beautiful. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 New College being nerdy. 🤓 Getting to present a bit of my research @uoedivinity. There was more than one person in this session, I swear. 😂 Frodo Baggins sighting at DIA… 👀 The local church being the hope of the world. World’s best staff team @pbcdenver!!! Happy baby. 🙇‍♀️ Again, I ❤️ our church… Best in-laws ever! Best parents ever! Big stretch!! Good man! Plz refer to caption #1. World’s best mother-in-law. Life is good, y’all. Dear world, please meet Mary Junia Hambrick. 🌎 Born Monday, June 29, 2026 @ 2:45pm, she is 7lbs 2oz of pure joy. Baby & mama are both happy and healthy. And we could not be more grateful! Her name reflects one who is beloved and youthful. Like Mary the mother of Jesus, we pray her soul would live to magnify the Lord. And like Junia, well esteemed among the Apostles, we hope that she, too, can leverage her gifts for the building up of Christ’s kingdom (Romans 16:7). We’re also incredibly grateful for Cara’s mom, Mary Anne, who has left a legacy of gospel courage and gospel witness, teaching us that “God’s mercy is for those who fear Him from generation to generation.” (Luke 1:50) Glory be to God! P.S. She was born 8 minutes after the Ja trade… so consider Mary Junia the newest member of the @memgrizz. Hopefully, she can sign a two-way deal with the @memphishustle.

Waco ➡️ College Station ➡️ Branson Coming back super refreshed after a 10 day marathon trip from the Society of Pentecostal Studies conference in Waco to hanging with the Gardners in College Station and ending with the Ward family vacay in Branson. 1) Such a special Sunday @citizensbcs 2) @nicholasagardner is an incredible Dad and Josiah is an incredible boy 3) Craig Keener putting in work 4) Baylor’s campus being beautiful 5) Texas brisket being beautiful (@terryblacks_bbq) 6) Obligatory Magnolia visit 7) Ward crew! 8) God bless the USA (@sdcattractions) 🇺🇸 9) Training up my nephews in the way they should go (let the reader understand 🪄) 10) Will always be a sucker for a sunrise A lot to be thankful for!

Good ole 2016! Married my best friend, bought my Xterra, wore Sperries a lot apparently, used hashtags all of the time, and had a blast serving at a great church alongside some amazing people in Oklahoma! Big fan of this trend. As the kids say, 2026 is the new 2016.

Congratulations to @_sarahnovotny & @dnovotny16! Such a beautiful ceremony… We thoroughly enjoyed our time back in Chicagoland, getting to commemorate @carawhambrick’s graduation from @wheatoncollegeil grad school & celebrate our anniversary together (6️⃣‼️🤯). Very grateful for the chance to reconnect with old friends and worship with a wonderful church in the heart of the city. Until next time!
