I had an amazing time at my first ever IJA Festival last week. I had the opportunity to teach a workshop on playing card juggling to about 40 people. I was genuinely surprised by the level of interest. We went over the basics of card juggling, brushing, and a few other related moves. There was also some curiosity about cardistry, so I demonstrated a few flourishes, including the double back armspread. Another highlight was meeting one of my juggling inspirations, Michael Karas, and getting to introduce him to card juggling. A huge thank you to the entire IJA community for being so welcoming, kind, and encouraging. I’m already looking forward to next year in Cedar Rapids! @ijajugglers @nycjuggler
