JOIN us in October 2026 Ephesus Didyma Priene Milet Ancient Energy Fields and EMBRACE THE GODDESS WITHIN THROUGH ART AND MYTH RETREATS @artemitos More info in profile link ✨️ In Greek mythology, we talk about Artemis, the Goddess of the wild. Born in shadow and light, she chose the wilderness over a throne or crown. ✨️ Artemis became the protector of forests, animals, and women in childbirth. She ran with deer and wolves, bow in hand, with the moon at her back. ✨️ Artemis remained a virgin goddess, untamed and alone, and those who crossed her faced consequences. Yet, she also brought calm to mothers, light to lost travelers, and death when it was merciful. ✨️ Artemis walked where gods seldom dared, between the trees, beneath the stars, and always beside the moon. #Mythology #Artemis #Goddess #artemitos video credits @mythreel 🙏

Today is a day dedicated to Artemis. In the day,, a festival was held in honor of the goddess. February 2 is celebrated in Christianity as the Purification of Mary because it is the fortieth day after Mary gave birth. In the ancient world, Artemis was the absolute protector of childbirth, women in labor, and newborns. The cult of Artemis in Ephesus was so powerful that at the Council of Ephesus in 431, the proclamation of Mary as Theotokos (“Mother of God”) transferred the image of the “Sacred Virgin and Protective Mother” (Artemis) in the public imagination onto Mary. The theme of purification on February 2 is a Christianized continuation of Artemis’s guardianship over women. Another connection continues to live on in folk belief. The goddess Brigid (later Saint Brigid) is regarded as Mary’s “midwife” or “spiritual sister.” According to belief, during the famous purification ritual at the temple, Brigid walked before Mary holding candles to light her way. Thus, the “light” in the name Candlemas (the Feast of Candles) actually refers to Brigid’s burning torches. #artemis #artemitos #art #mitos #Mythology

There are places that ask you to stand taller. To breathe deeper. To remember who you are. Artemitos was born from moments like this, standing among the ruins of ancient cities, listening to the land, feeling something inside lift and open. This is the beginning of our journey. I’m so glad you’re here.
