🍷 One month ago, we hosted our very first SVH Wine 1 Open Training at The @caribbeanchef Studio, and what an experience it was!

A room full of wine enthusiasts came together to learn, taste, connect, and expand their wine knowledge. From grape varieties and wine regions to tasting techniques and food pairings, our participants had a fantastic afternoon and left inspired to continue their wine journey.

🎓 They successfully completed the exam and receive an official SVH Certificate.

Did you know? SVH Wine 1 Training isn’t just for hospitality professionals. It also makes a unique and engaging team-building activity for organizations looking to bring colleagues together while learning something new.

4course Saturday BBQ;

- Course 1: deconstructed deviled egg with a savory merengue, & egg yolk filling (ate it so fast and forgot ta take a picture😅)

- Course 2: tomato consomme, pea &goat cheese filled tortelini with a cranberry gel center, cheese tuile, & basil oil

- Course 3: lemon & herb grilled chicken, grilled filet mignon, 3 cheese polenta, grilled corn, coleslaw, home-made lemon & caper butter, & feta-paprika sauce

- Course 4: mango, blackberry & tamarind cobbler, vanilla icecream, & lemon lime sugar

Welcome to chefs Helmi Smeulders house located in beautiful Curaçao. A very talented chef that had the great honor to cook for the king and queen from Netherlands. She was never always a chef though, her passion grew more when she started her own catering business to help elevate the taste of food. Eventually she left her full time job to continue to build her dream.

When visiting Curaçao I wanted to meet chef to learn more on how it's very important it is to support local businesses. I also brought some nice gifts from @shopspiritwares that she loved.

This carribean cooking class that chef hosts will help you understand the bursting flavors of Curaçao and what you can do with these ingredient to bring more flavors to your everyday meals.

We start of as strangers and end the night as friends.
