🗳️ Let’s turn urgency into action!

Thank you, @karinesreyes87 Assembly Member Karines Reyes, RN, for your words of action and for reminding us that everyone has a role in civic engagement. ✊🏽

Don’t wait until November 3 to wish you had participated. Make your voting plan, learn about the candidates and issues, and talk with your family, neighbors, and friends about making their voices heard.

We must be the change we want to see in the world. That means showing up, staying informed, and following through.

Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Let’s put our commitment into action! 🗳️💜

✨ WE WILL RISE AT THE STUDENT TOWN HALL! ✨

We’re excited to share that We Will Rise representative and Cornell University student is attending today’s student-focused town hall with @aoc Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in Ithaca! 🎓❤️

This conversation about tuition, housing costs, and free speech on campus matters to young people and their families. Her presence reflects what We Will Rise is all about: showing up, making space for youth voices, and encouraging the next generation to take part in conversations that shape their future.

We are proud of you! Keep listening, learning, speaking up, and rising. Together, we will continue to rise! 🙌🏾

🧹 KEEP EL BARRIO CLEAN

Being a Good Neighbor Starts on Our Block

El Barrio is more than where we live—it’s where we walk, shop, gather, raise our families, and look out for one another. Keeping our neighborhood clean is one small way each of us can show pride in the community we share.

A cup, food wrapper, or bag may seem like a little thing, but litter adds up quickly. Use a trash can, pick up after yourself, and encourage others to do the same. If you see a small piece of litter and can safely pick it up, that simple action helps too.

Clean streets shouldn’t just be someone else’s responsibility. Being a good neighbor means doing our part.

Pick it up. Throw it out. Keep El Barrio clean. 💙

We Will Rise Juneteenth Celebration Dancing in the Rain, Rising Together ❤️

I’ve learned that sometimes the most beautiful moments happen when you stop running from the rain and choose to dance in it.

Our Juneteenth Celebration was a reminder that nothing can stop the power of love, resilience, and community. The rain didn’t dampen our spirits—it brought us even closer together. We laughed, we danced, we celebrated our history, and we honored the strength of those who came before us.

There is truly nothing like community. Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, performer, partner, and neighbor who showed up with joy in your hearts. Together, we proved that when love leads the way, every storm becomes a celebration.

We Will Rise. Together. Always. ✨🖤❤️💚

Civic Engagement Starts with Our Youth! 🗳️✨

Last week, We Will Rise Board Member Jocelyn Swavy @jocelynswavy had the incredible opportunity to attend the Youth Civic Summit hosted by the Urban League, where young leaders from across New York City came together to learn, connect, and explore ways to make a difference in their communities. @newyorkurbanleague @nyccouncil

A special thank you to Miguelina @migs_camilo for helping make this experience possible and for investing in the next generation of changemakers. Opportunities like these remind us that civic engagement is not just about voting—it’s about using your voice, serving your community, building relationships, and creating positive change.

At We Will Rise, we believe our young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are leaders today. 💙✨
