#yawn has the #potential to
#release #trauma ‼️

check this out: https://betterhumans.pub/how-yawning-releases-stress-anxiety-and-even-horrific-trauma-14664a87c2a3

Even Singers practice it to release #throat or #vocal #tension. This is how they do it:

1. Put your finger across your throat at the top of your “Adams Apple” and swallow.

2. Notice the upward motion of the “Adams Apple”.

3. Now keeping your finger at the top of your “Adams Apple” relax and begin a yawn. ( It is the sensation that occurs at the beginning of a yawn that releases tension in the throat. The full yawn brings tension).

4. Notice the downward motion of the “Adams Apple.”

5. This motion opens the throat and releases tension.

6. Yawn again (not a full yawn) at the back of your throat. Repeat a few times letting the throat muscles slip downward as you yawn.

7. Then repeat the yawn and exhale by sighing “ah” at a comfortable high note in your range that floats downward – sounding like a sigh.

8. Practice releasing tension in the throat with a yawn/sigh motion 5 times to release throat tension.

What a ride this last weekend has been! I knew it was a big deal but the outward pouring of support, love and excitement for this song has given me much reassurance that this is a path I want to continue on. ❤️

This song is accomplishing what it was meant to do - to help heal, reach out, connect and share emotions. This is even more significant for this song as it was written for, and inspired by @sturm222 and her son Anderson. I hope part of his memory can live on through this song ❤️
Please keep this song playing for them.

🌻Thank you to @sturm222 for the beautiful artwork. She is talented and I am so fortunate to get to share that. Thank you also for the clip of Anderson that is touching every heart who sees it 🫶.

🌻Stay tuned for song merch by the talented @sturm222 - ALL proceeds will go towards Anderson’s Memorial Fund.

🌻Thank you to @caricole who taught me the importance of writing from the soul. You were right as to how impactful this is. Thanks for the A&R for this song ❤️

🌻Thank you to @mynameisames for your help and guidance with writing this song - such a privilege to have had the opportunity to co-write with you.

🌻Thank you to @rockitvocalstudios for pushing me to record this acoustically raw and vulnerable in the studio and for helping me with Artist Development. Thanks for helping remind me of my why 💙

🌻Thank you @mccrecordingdave and @johnny6pak for welcoming me to your studio and for your patience and expertise in making my first studio experience, and first final product so positive.

🌻And thank you to allll my mentors, friends, family for always supporting me. You all know who you are ❤️❤️😉

❤️❤️❤️🫶 My first single is out now!

It’s here 🤍

So happy to share my debut album ‘The Lovers’ is out now {link in bio}. I wrote it for the big, sensitive hearts in the world, and for all of the profound yet painful parts of healing. Each song represents a different aspect of growth - from healing my inner child, to learning boundaries, to navigating depression, to feeling the call into a bigger and brighter chapter!

Thanks to @levietherington from Liminal Empire for painting the cover art of my dreams. Thank you to @empireofwelz for taking the beautiful photo behind it all. The symbolism of the black jaguar is around reclaiming your power by embracing darkness ✨ While I’m still *hella human*, I definitely feel the strength that’s come from this all.

I can’t wait to cry and dance and celebrate with so many of you tomorrow. There’s a few remaining tix if you can make it! For now, I’m sending so much love.

How much bullshit have you been given in your life? ⁣
No, seriously.⁣
Hear me out for a minute.⁣…
⁣
As humans, we've been fed a lot of bullshit⁣!
We’re told we're not good enough… ⁣
Or that money is bad⁣..
That we can't do this on our own⁣..
Or that we’re selfish or greedy⁣..
That we’re f*ck ups or wrong…
⁣
We get crucified for our mistakes over and over again,
Have things held over us if we ask for help⁣,
And guilt tripped into doing things we don’t want to do…
F That!! 🥊
⁣
Guess what? ⁣
You don't HAVE to do anything,
Should is a slow suicide⁣!
Shamers and blamers have a special place in hell⁣
And you don’t NEED anything⁣!
⁣
If you knew how much control you had in the destiny of your life and your future, you'd be thinking and acting a hell of a lot differently.⁣ ❤️
⁣
You’d be setting incredible standards and boundaries for yourself. ⁣
⁣
You would care about yourself and your well-being more than anyone and everything else. ⁣
⁣
Take a stand. Stop lowering yourself to meet other people’s standards. Stop accepting bullshit because you think you don’t deserve better. ⁣
⁣
Stand UP. Rise UP. Vibe UP. #CATALYST
