Massive good luck to @marcmeakin of @carkcomedy this week as he performs at the @edfringe! You can catch him as part of @tomshortcomic 's show Comedy Shorts, where different comedians do five-minute slots. And you can read all about him on Canterbury Tales! After I left the Courier, a friend said to me: "You will get to do what you love again, but in a different form that you've not found yet." He was right. I love doing @Canterburytalesnews - it has given me back my sense of purpose. And it's the best news and features outlet in the city. If you're not following and subscribing, why not? You can do so for free - or if you want to support local news and help the site be viable long-term, you can support for as little as £3.50 a month. The latest edition came out today - and it's all about the comedians splitting sides in the city. @vatsncomedy and his Texan buddy Ben McWilliams (pictured) are touring the city with a show about how hilarious it is being an immigrant; @lusykororart is running a new improv course, culminating in a show; and Marc Meakin @carkcomedy is appearing at the @edfringe ! It's so much work that even on school holidays I'm rushed off my feet, and getting readers' evident enthusiasm to translate into follows and subscriptions, especially paid subscriptions, is a very uphill struggle, but one I need to work out how to overcome if I want to continue this long-term. But I love doing it. Follow the link in my bio and you'll see the latest edition, or visit canterburytalesnews.substack.com/p/chapter-7-comedy-tonight Picture: Lusy Koror
