We were missing family we really love...
But this was a long overdue mini JOHNSON FAMILY REUNION in Houston.

we played games
we sang and danced
we watched the WORLD CUP
water park day
dinner for adults only
temple time
more games and WORLD CUP
and talking and connection

I AM ALWAYS MELANCHONY (IYKYK) - at the end of vacations. But the end of family reunions, are a different level. I never know what the next visit will look like. Parents and kids getting older ... Grateful.

Friday night show — #6 of the season ✅
Saturday show — #7 of the season ✅ (Edit because Fran reminded me - show 7 done on 4 hours of sleep and no coffee!!!)
Sunday band concert — currently loading…….

Two new host schools, two great shows, and getting to work with some of the best staff in the business.

Wouldn’t trade the busy weekends for anything. On to the next one!!

One of those weeks that had *everything*—a wreck, a broken heart saying goodbye to my sweetest Charley 🐾, and Week 3 of TCGC shows.

Through it all, I was reminded how healing music, movement, and community can be. So proud of these kids, grateful for the people around me, and carrying Charley with me in every moment.

Hard week. Good people. Great shows. 💙

Competition Week 2 = DONE!

What a fun day with some pretty awesome people. Loved getting to see all the directors and students throughout the day. Already counting down to next weekend so we can do it all over again!

2025…
You were well, something. My life changed so much during this year both for the good and for the bad. I graduated cosmo school and got my license, moved out of my parents house and tried to figure out who I was on my own, quit my job and safety net of 4 1/2 years and still grapple with the fact that moving into new things means having to leave old ones, got a new job and had to experience being the new girl again for the first time in a long time, traveled all over and saw so many new places, spent time with my family both blood and chosen, and grew into a new version of myself. To whatever you hold in store, see ya in 26 ❤️
