I am 41 and something I’ve learned this year- our need for community, friendship, and belonging doesn’t go away just because we age.
@internationalunitedmiss is a club everyone’s invited to join. I say that fully knowing how corny it sounds and before I competed I would have eye rolled a person who said it to me.
Here’s where my opinion changed though- I arrived at pageant week expecting a specific experience and was surprised when my expectations were flipped upside down.
I connected deeper than I had in the past, I laughed harder, and had women applauding me and patting me on the back as I walked off stage.
It was hard to believe I was at an actual competition because the genuine love and support wasn’t forced or faked. It was real people looking for THEIR people.
I am so proud of every contestant who walked across the IUM stage this year and I am beyond excited for my year ahead with some pretty amazing girls and women!

A picture can speak a thousand words, and this one says it all. 🤍

A sisterhood. A legacy. An impact. A story. A purpose. A mentor. A dream.

The International United Ms. sisterhood is one I will forever be proud to be part of. It’s built on love, kindness, compassion, and women who inspire one another to leave the world a little better than they found it.

Some journeys change your life, and this one changed my heart forever. ✨

Part 4: The @internationalunitedmiss Staff 🤍

There truly isn’t another staff like this one. Thank you to every member of the staff for pouring your hearts into making IUM feel like home. Here’s just a few extra staff shoutouts 🩵

@the_hollysour & @thekrisann_evelyn : I’ve watched IUM grow from a small ballroom in New Jersey to filling ballrooms with delegates from around the world. More importantly, you’ve created a family, and you’ve made me feel like part of it since day one.

@daniellekaczynski : It was so weird not following you around all week! 😂 I’m so grateful I got to be under your direction, and now so many other girls get to experience your love and support too.

Elizabeth: Thank you for welcoming me onto the Rep Your Reign mock team, but even more for always being in my corner. I always know I can call or message you, and somehow everything feels better afterward. You’re truly one of a kind.

@carley_steeples My snatched queen! 🤍 I loved all the hugs this week. Watching She Blooms continue to grow while you still pour so much into all of us at IUM is so inspiring.

@brielle.weigold It was definitely weird not barging into your room, screaming at all hours, annoying your parents, or making you carry me in the pool. 😂 But you absolutely crushed the content all week!

@daycie_eliz : Choreography queen! You absolutely crushed opening number. Selfishly, I love that your job keeps you at rehearsals because your smile always makes my day brighter. I’ll never forget making Top 10 and immediately sobbing into your arms backstage. ❤️

@katiesour : I’m still crossing my fingers that one day I’ll get to spend more time with you than our quick rehearsal moments. Thank you for always reminding us that opening number is supposed to be fun. Seeing you outside the ballroom after finale and hearing you acknowledge how much you knew Top 10 meant to me made all of my hard work and love for IUM feel truly seen.

@theadventuresofgabi : your amazing pep talks backstage hit every single time. You made me feel calm, confident and at peace before hitting the stage every time.

Now, it’s time for the long list of thank yous… because no dream is accomplished alone.

First and foremost, thank you to Holly and Krisann for creating a pageant system where we can shine exactly as we are, without ever feeling like we have to mold ourselves into someone else. The sisterhood I have gained over the last four years is truly irreplaceable, and I hope you both know how grateful I am to call IUM my pageant home.

And to the rest of the incredible staff—Katie, Bobby, Maggie, Gabi, Annie, Shannon, Lori, Dani, Mike, Brielle, Jeremy, Carley, Daci, Hensley, Elizabeth, Sydni, and of course, the mastermind behind our incredible stage and graphics, Brittany—thank you for an amazing week. Every event ran because of the countless hours you poured in behind the scenes, and it never went unnoticed.

You welcomed us with smiles, kept everything moving, solved problems before most of us even knew they existed, and created an experience that so many of us look forward to all year long.

I hope you’re all getting some well-deserved rest and recovery, because before we know it, another 365 days will have passed… and we’ll all be back together again. 🩵

The BEST part of pageantry is the sisterhood. No matter what happens during pageant week, it's the blessings that we take away from our experiences. I get to have the joy of spending this week with my sisters uplifting and supporting them PLUS spending time getting to know each lady so far has been AMAZING 🙌🏻💖✨ Thanks to all these ladies for a super fun week and it's only just the beginning #kindnessmattersbyjennifer💖 #sistersbysash #ium #
