No better way to recover from missed connections and lost luggage than time in Florence. Thank you @imadatwi and @taniaelalam 💙

They had me at deep fried buckwheat blinis.
Gary Danko virgin no longer. Kitschy SF 90’s vibe with a great menu, lots of booth seating and perfect special occasion mood lighting

What do you do with your 🍓 from the market?
Do you also use them for treats for your loved ones, and then force them to give you live positive reviews?

Restaurants, long walks, many croissants, a few martinis + lots of people I love. The best of New York made even better with Louis + Charlie. 💙

I said no to dry January, but yes to trying a few “less-indulgent” recipes, or basically continuing to cut sugar quantities and attempting to bake more nutrient dense treats. To kick things off I have made my most favorite luxurious, tempting granola inspired by the little bags they once gave away at @elevenmadisonpark (Which has now gone totally plant based BTW). Super straight forward, but the uniqueness comes from the combo of sugars and oil, along with coconut chips and slow baking at a low temp.
My version of the EMP recipe:

Mix:
-3 cups oats
- 1 cup of any nuts you have
- 1 cup of unsweetened coconut chips
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- Warm: 1/4 cup each of brown sugar, maple, and olive oil
- Add to try ingredients and mix- Bake in oven at 300 for 35 minutes
- Add any dried fruits, I love apricots or dried cherries.

My secret recipe for oatmeal cherry chocolate chunk cookies, with special guest appearances from @justynbells and @carlitosleonard

Between my shortbread, molasses ginger, and chocolate cookies, I felt my Xmas medley was lacking something with variety and interesting texture. This always delivers. Forget raisins ever existed — you can never go wrong with dried cherries in a cookie!

Ingredients
1.5 cups flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 sticks butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp molasses
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups whole rolled oats
chocolate chunks, walnuts, cherries and any other mix ins you want

Mix dry ingredients. Blend wet ingredients, and then add dry slowly. Stir in oats and mix ins. Chill for an hour, scoop, and bake at 350 for 12 minutes. Enjoy! #gluten #cookies #christmascookies
