🚨JUST IN: Y2K BASH MAKES WAVES 🌊

ISSUE #01: YOU HAD TO BE THERE.
📍 IVNS PINES hosted by @amayahofficial 📟

On Saturday, August 1st, South Florida experienced a memorable night packed with live music — and filled to the brim with chaos. An event created by South Florida musician “Amayah” and top-rated “I Vape N Sip” Kava Bar gathered professional music and tattoo artists, firefighters, human-named plants — basically the entire population of South Florida — in one mocktail bar with the SAME mission: to travel back into the early 2000s.

Amayah & IVNS enforced a STRICT dress code policy — uploading digital 2000s dress guides and declining entry for basic outfits quicker than a fake ID. South Florida bands, rappers, and partygoers alike dressed in 2000s-esque staples, including bedazzled jerseys and hair tinsel.

All attendees received a goodie bag full of beloved 2000s paraphernalia, including — but not limited to — Silly Bandz, temporary tramp stamps, and Tech Deck skateboards. People took paparazzi pictures with strangers and ended up on the “Tabloid Wall” as they competed in MySpace-style superlatives and indulged in refreshing mocktails named after each artist, such as the “Diva Daiquiri,” the “Marina Mule,” and the “Ouino U Want It” Shirley Temple.

Some people left with permanent designs etched into their skin by @carlostattoos_ , their hair done up in butterfly clips and twists by @upscalebeautyllc_ , and some even left with new lovers. Regardless of why they came, everybody found something waiting for them at the Y2K Bash. The youthful crowd exclaimed that they were “happy to be in spaces where everyone was interacting with each other instead of being glued to screens all night,” leaving the rest of us with a simple reminder: maybe time travel isn’t about going backward — maybe it’s about remembering how to be present. #southflorida #2000s #2000snostalgia
