For @carlycensi and I’s wedding, my sister @alexaranieri gifted us with our first family heirloom, a live painting of our first kiss as a married couple by @livepaintingbymarina

I am blown away by her work and capturing one of the most special moments of our lives. Craft at this level, at this speed is unheard of.

What a special day celebrating our future together with so many friends and family we love. Marry your best friend, it’s a blast 💜

At our gala, I shared with our patrons that this season will be my last as Artistic Director of Timber Lake Playhouse.

I’ve spent the last few weeks thinking about what I wanted to say, and I keep coming back to the theatre’s mission.

Timber Lake exists to help aspiring artists transition into the profession.

For the last three years, I thought I was here to carry that mission forward.

The truth is, I became one of its success stories.

I came here in 2023 to direct one production. A few months later, this theatre entrusted me with leading it through a massive rebuild. I had never been an Artistic Director before. I never had the opportunity to go to graduate school, so I learned the way so many artists do, by being trusted before I felt completely ready.

I’m a kid from the suburbs of Long Island who somehow found himself leading a theatre in one of the most close-knit communities I’ve ever known. I didn’t grow up here, but this community welcomed me, challenged me, and made me feel like I belonged.

That’s what Timber Lake does.

It takes chances on people.

Over these last three years, I’ve watched over 100 young artists self realize and equip themselves through our program. The truth is, the theatre was doing the same thing for me.

To every patron, volunteer, donor, board member, artist, technician, musician, staff member, and friend, thank you for believing in me and for trusting me with this extraordinary place.

Thank you for taking a chance on a Long Island kid.

I’ll carry this place with me forever. I love you Timber Lake Playhouse 💜🌽

I picked up my college-era-Peter-Brook-love-affair right where I left it off. Directing this show at TLP was a blessing and a privilege. How lucky am I to be able to make something with the people I love- it's impossible to describe. Special cast, special creatives, special SMs, special musicians, special production- I think it'd be futile to attempt thanking everyone justly... so I'll just thank @tommyranieri You're headed for the moon, love you long time.

had the most magical time returning to the woods for this *stellar* show (cmon stephen u ate with that). contracts like these are a blessing esp when you get to do it with such down-to-earth peeps. grateful to say i left mount carroll with a full heart (& tetanus shot 🩷) already miss my trades 🥲 YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!💡
