One of the best parts of being a DePaul student is getting to experience Chicago as an extension of campus. From trying new food spots to exploring museums, neighborhoods, and iconic city locations, there’s always something to do! Here I’m sharing some of my favorite spots, as you can tell I explored the coffee shops more than anything else 🫣

Being in the city makes it easy to find fun, affordable things to do, especially when you know where to look. Stay on the lookout on the @dpuinvolvement page, they always share student activities, events, and discounts that help make exploring Chicago even easier.

Whether it’s grabbing food near campus, checking out a museum, or just walking around the city, Chicago truly becomes part of your college experience. Don’t forget to use your student ID and make the most of it!

Today’s post might be a little more informative than fun, but it’s such an important part of being a business student. Career readiness is something that’s really highlighted early on: LinkedIn, personal branding, resumes, cover letters, and networking— all topics that make you more prepared for the whole process of becoming a successful business student!

The slides in this post gives a quick overview of some of the key things to focus on, like having a clear resume format, writing strong cover letters, and building confidence in professional settings through networking opportunities and events.

A big shoutout to the DePaul Career Center (@depaulcareerctr), which offers so many helpful resources like resume reviews, interview prep, and even professional headshots— everything you need to feel more confident in your career journey! Also grateful for the DePaul Driehaus School of Business (@depaulbiz) for consistently providing such useful information and support for students exploring their future careers!

🏀👩🏻‍💼 One of my favorite parts of being a Sports Business student at DePaul is how many ways we get to experience the industry beyond the classroom! From working in the Athletics Ticket Office and getting plugged into the department, to volunteering with the Chicago Marathon through a class, and attending exclusive industry events through my program, I’ve been able to see so many sides of sports.

These experiences have helped me understand how things work behind the scenes while also building real connections with professionals across the industry. Being in the heart of Chicago makes these opportunities even more accessible and personal, and it’s something that truly sets DePaul’s Sports Business program apart!

If you’re interested in working in sports, getting hands-on experience, and learning from industry leaders, this program offers so many ways to get involved early on.

Getting involved on campus has helped me find my community and grow far beyond the classroom. Being part of student organizations has introduced me to incredible people, meaningful leadership opportunities, and experiences I wouldn’t have found otherwise. Getting yourself involved early really helps you adjust to campus life and find the community that fits you best :)

The collages in this post highlight both real moments from club events and graphics I’ve designed as part of my leadership roles, showing just a glimpse of what involvement can look like. If you’re interested in getting involved, check out @dpuinvolvement to explore student events, also find all the clubs and organizations listed on DeHub, and stop by involvement fairs throughout the year.
Be sure to check out @depaulsbc and @crudepaul, feel free to message me if you want to learn more!

🏠💖 Let’s talk about campus housing! Campus housing is a big part of your college experience, and it’s definitely been a big part of mine! I’ve had the chance to live on both of DePaul’s campuses—starting in a dorm on the Lincoln Park Campus and now in an apartment in the Loop, each offering a really different experience. Living on or close to campus has made it easy to get to class, get involved, spend time with friends, and feel connected to campus life in different ways. Swipe to see more about my experiences in both Lincoln Park and the Loop, and if you have any housing-specific questions, check out @depaulhousing or drop them in my story Q&A today!
