Belated proud papa post. @rhett.hemingway is officially a graduate of the University of Michigan! @umichmusicaltheatre Theatre BFA 2026! Spent this last weekend in Ann Arbor with Rhett packing up the house (“Clubhouse”) that he’s shared with classmates who are more like family for the past four years. I am as excited to watch Rhett’s career blossom as I am all of their’s. So many amazing memories of dinners at Mani and Frita Batidos, football games, drinks at the speakeasy, weird AirBNBS (Murder Basement), the foliage on the drive out to @theencoretheatre, TOO MANY extraordinary SMTD performances to list, including Rhett in The Importance of Being Earnest, Great Comet of 1812, Batboy, This Is Our Youth, Titanic, She Loves Me, and Lost In Ann Arbor to name a few. What an incredible four years it has been. Ann Arbor is a special place. Go Blue!
