Currents by #tameimpala {2015 Fiction/Caroline International, #psychedelic } Mix: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Every layer is crystal clear 💎and well defined...kudos Mr. Kevin Parker 👏🏻👏🏻! Master: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful and dynamic mastering 🥳🥳 Hooray! Packaging: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love the album artwork, as well as the chromatic choices for the inner sleeves 🫟 Music: Let’s put it straight, I’ve never been a big fan of synth pop or psychedelic rock, but this record still has a special place in my collection. This was my first Tame Impala record, which I bought 10 years ago based on the cover, without knowing anything from the project 🧐 I must say I was disappointed at first, but then the album started growing on me: all of a sudden I realised I was singing Tame Impala tracks from nothing...it was so weird 😱 I had definitely underestimated the catchiness and the overall mood of the record, or maybe I just wasn’t ready for this music at the time🙈 I went beck to the album and I was amazed by the quality of the recording and of all the soundscapes tossed in the album😮🤯 Airy vocals, wonderful and juicy tone choices, great drum fills and patterns, lovely keyboard textures and some good old fashioned bass guitar parts. Let It Happen, Yes, Im’ Changing, The Less I Know The Better and New Person, Same Old Mistakes are definitely my stand out tracks! Every song is just wonderful in its way, so if you’ve never tried Tame Impala, this record is probably the best way to start 🏁 That’s it for today! Until next time🚀 PVC_Reviews #vinylcollection #vinylcommunitypost #lp

Following in the footsteps of @qotsacollector I’m spinning this awesome album from Iggy and Co for its tenth anniversary (which was on the 18th). - “Post Pop Depression” is the seventeenth studio album by American rock singer @iggypopofficial released by Caroline International / Loma Vista Recordings on March 18, 2016. Produced by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, the album was recorded in secrecy and features contributions from Queens of the Stone Age keyboardist and guitarist Dean Fertita, and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders. - Consisting of nine songs, the album was recorded between January 12 and March 9, 2015, at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California, over the course of two weeks, and another week at Pink Duck Studios in Burbank, California. Pop and Homme self-financed the album. Dean Fertita recorded guitar and keyboards, while Matt Helders recorded drum tracks. Homme has stated that preparing Post Pop Depression was one thing that helped him cope with the aftermath of the November 2015 terrorist attacks involving his other band, Eagles of Death Metal. - My version is the @roughtrade exclusive yellow vinyl which cost a reasonable £19.90, which I picked up when it was released, and apparently it’s Ltd to 500 copies worldwide. - It’s an awesome album and I’m glad I got reminded to give it another spin! 🤘 - Now playing: Iggy Pop Post Pop Depression 2016 Caroline International / Rekords Rekords •Ltd Edt •500 Copies •Transparent Yellow Vinyl •Insert With Photo / Lyrics / Credits •Download Card - #cambridgeaudio #missionhifi #technics #ortofon #postpopdepression

Top 5 Gaz Coombes solo songs One of my favorite musicians, Gaz Coombes, turns 50 today. While he’s mostly famous for being the frontman for Supergrass, he’s also an amazing solo artist who’s released some absolute gems. So in honor of his birthday, here are my favorite Gaz solo songs. #GazCoombes #Supergrass #vinyl #vinylcollection #cgvinylreels

Folks, be honest – who among you enjoys powerful synthwave? 🔥 I listened to „Leather Teeth“ by CARPENTER BRUT, and it’s simply outstanding. No boring background noise here – it’s got a fat 80s vibe, heavy guitar riffs, and beats that make you want to step on the gas. From danceable mid-tempo tracks to horror moments to absolute destruction – Franck Hueso has released his first real album and shows that synthwave isn’t just about nostalgia, but can also be really heavy. Sure, „Sunday Lunch“ is a bit of a misstep, but tracks like „Beware The Beast,“ „Monday Hunt,“ and „Hairspray Hurricane“ easily make up for it. So, who’s into this kind of thing? Drop your favorite synthwave track in the comments! Day Twenty-Six | #mayvinylchallenge25 | Upcoming Concert The man. The myth. The shoeless legend. Steven Wilson To The Bone - Bone White 2xLP To say Steven Wilson is a favoured artist would be an understatement. His (former) main project Porcupine Tree is one of my top five bands, and have released some of my favourite albums, including what I consider my outright favourite in Fear Of A Blank Planet in 2007. Branching out on his own (again), Steven has put out nothing but fully formed, artistically realized albums of superb quality, including what I consider one other of my all time favourite albums, Hand. Cannot. Erase. in 2015. In my opinion, he cannot do any wrong. Whether it is with PT, solo work, part of other side projects, producer and mastering credits, the guy is infallible. Have there been points where at first what I heard did not immediately click? Here and there. Have I always come around in the end? Absolutely. Thank you for everything Steven. I will cherish our after show fist bump forever. I hope I can do it again in September. ☆ #nowspinning A Black Mile to the Surface is the 5th studio album by American #indierock band @manchesterorchestra . It was released on July 21, 2017, through @lomavistarecordings & @favoritegentlemen . Recording for the album took place from the summer of 2016 onwards with producer Catherine Marks. The lead single, "The Gold", was released on June 9, 2017, alongside a music video directed by Mike Dempsey and Johnny Chew. Two more singles, "The Alien" and "The Moth", were released later in the summer. Inspired by their work on the soundtrack for the 2016 film Swiss Army Man, band members Andy Hull and Robert McDowell set out to create an album that was a reset from the band's previous studio albums Cope and Hope (both 2014). A Black Mile to the Surface is an alternative rock and Americana record, interweaving a concept album set in a South Dakota mining town with reflections on Hull's young daughter. The album received generally positive reviews from music critics, who praised Hull's storytelling and the album's cinematic stylings. Commercially, it performed well, debuting at number 33 on the US Billboard 200. ☆ #manchesterorchestra #ablackmiletothesurface #alternativerock #33rpmclub #colouredvinyl #colorvinyl #vinyl #vinylism #vinylgram #vinyloftheday #vinyljunkie #vinyladdict #vinylcollection #vinylcommunity #vinylporn #vinylrecords #vinylwrap #records #recordcollecting #recordcollection #recordoftheday #recordjunkie #record #vinyligclub #vinylpossessed #recordcollector
