POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

When I started this #myinstagrampage
#eightyearsago to the day, July 6th, 2017,
not only was it #adifferentworld,
#yourstruly was #adifferentman.

Oh all the #charactertraits, everything
typical RLH was there.
All my flaws and faults as well as
all my best qualities.
But my overall well-being was bad, both
physically and mentally.
For one thing, I was still a heavy smoker -
I finally quit in February 2018.

Of course I was still working at my beloved
#staatstheaterwiesbaden - oh, #theatrelife
is very demanding...
I hadn't had too many vacations.
I had never been to #Greece.
And I had never heard of #agiagalini.
In July 2018, I would discover that splendid
#cretanvillage which in time became
#myhomeawayfromhome and meet
the people who are now my #familyandfriends.

As for the World :
Before The Pandemic, and... well we all know
the changes ...

Dear #friendsandfollowers, ingratitude
To all of you without whom all this
wouldn't have happened or come this far
or lasted this long,
for my #anniversarycelebration, as
#myartforyou, I give you many of
#mypersonalfavorites plus a bunch of
new pieces.
#mypoetryforyou celebrates the Eight,
All of you and - what else -
dreams, imagination, creativity.

#thankyouforeverything
As always I do #hopeyouenjoy!
More than ever :
Be safe, be well, be brave, dream on!

It's been a moment
since my previous post.
Having enjoyed an abundance of
#sweetinspiration, I've been #takingmytime
#beingcreative, writing #newpoetry
or #outandabout taking photos.

#lastweekend, at the #changeover from
April to May, with everything seemingly
ready to get into full #springtime swing,
with gorgeous #sunnyweather,
#springflowers blooming and bushes and trees
blossoming, like those #personalfavorites, #lilacs,
#ourlittletown prepared for #springfestivities
including a #springfair, especially #forfamilies,
#forthechildren.

Well, dear #friendsandfollowers,
my three poems and today's #pixmix
tell the tale.
From warm and sunny & #blueskies
it changed drastically to cold and overcast.
As of today, the signs point to
another chance at Spring gaining
momentum again -
the merry-go-round keeps spinning...

Significant dates, #specialdays
in rapid succession,
right after Easter:
April 22nd, #earthday
April 23rd, #worldbookday
And today, April 25th, here in Germany,
it is #tagdesbaumes, #arborday.

In today's #specialpost,
I combine elements of all three.

There is nature photography, with an
emphasis on trees.
I share my recent and current reading
material.
Three titles in the #auntdimity series
by #nancyatherton.
#fairytale by #stephenking.
There are two small volumes of poetry
by #hanschristianandersen, in
German translation.

There is a lovely gift item,
both "Bakery Attack" short stories by
#harukimurakami,
with fantastic illustrations by excellent
contemporary #graphicartist, Kat Menschik.
Another new treasure is a tome of
selected poetry by a personal favorite,
#hansmagnusenzensberger,
with beautifully mysterious art by
Jan Peter Tripp.

I present three new pieces of
#mypoetryforyou, a brief nature poem,
a #tanka and a #haiku.

One more thing.
Since yesterday I had the extreme pleasure
and privilege of attending another
marvelous #poetryreading by masterful
contemporary German poet laureate
and delightful human being, #janwagner,
I intend to celebrate the occasion
in my next post.

I do #hopeyouenjoy it all!
For now, my Dears, please
be safe, be well and dream on!

Every day is unique.
#longtimefollowers know that
#yourstruly is all for #carpedíem.
Yes, #seizetheday, #liveinthemoment,
#makeeverymomentcount #livingyourbestlife
or at least try to #makethebestofit...

For sometimes, #alloftheabove is
#easiersaidthandone.
When just #beingalive, #stayingalive gets tough.
Not every day is #easystreet sauntering
or #smoothsailing.

Good days, bad days:
#mypoetryforyou today is twofold.
The main piece, "A Day of Wonder", was inspired
by a satirical poem (of something quite opposite)
by a favorite German #authorandpoet,
#hansmagnusenzensberger.
The original is called "Ein Schwarzer Tag",
and I'm sharing my freely translated version here,
"A Black Day".

The garnish of today's post are
April #springtime photos.

Dear #friendsandfollowers, I do #hopeyouenjoy!
Always wishing you all the very best of days!
Be safe, be well, dream on!

It is #march8,
which means it is
#internationalwomensday 2025!
This year's motto is
"For ALL Women and Girls:
Rights. Equality. Empowerment."
with added hashtag
AccelerateAction.

Today's post features
#myartforyou and #mypoemforyou
in which ALL Women and Girls are
embodied by and represented through
Patrona Imperatrix.
The #pixmix is a selection of artistic
depiction of #womenthroughouthistory .
This #specialpost is dedicated to
ALL Women and Girls among my dear
#friendsandfollowers and, of course,
in my personal life.

Dear Ladies,
#thankyou for #beingwhoyouare!
I am happy you are in the world,
and I feel blessed to be connected to you,
grateful to enjoy the diversity of your
personalities, your creativeness and
the manifold achievements in
#allwalksoflife!
Please know, that for #yourstruly,
every day is - or should be - your day!

Be safe, be well, and
not only dream on
but carry on, fight on
and #accelerateaction :
* Against prejudice , #ageism,
every kind of #mysogyny
* For respect,
spiritual and #bodilyautonomy,
#equalopportunity #equalpay,
#equalrights!
#happyinternationalwomensday
and beyond!
With all my heart, *Robert ❤️

An abundance of heart(s)
and much love from #yourstruly
to you, dear #friendsandfollowers!
🩷💕❣️
So, #valentinesday :
It is easy to dismiss it as
a mock special day, #commercialized,
filled with insistent hype for you to
#shoptillyoudrop for those you love.

Well, #sweetsforthesweet are hardly
timely and possibly not overly welcome
as gifts, while, as Miley states,
#icanbuymyselfflowers.
Yet, about all of it, including all that
gaudy useless stuff -
I can't endorse nor would I buy any of it,
but I couldn't resist taking snaps
for today's #pixmix.

Also...
#longtimefollowers are aware that
I can't pass up any such opportunity
to do a post using photos, art and poetry
about #thepoweroflove,
how #loveisintheair
and #loveisallyouneed.

As for #mypoetryforyou :
For the first panel I felt compelled to
apply an excerpt from my #lovepoetry
of #oneyearago, the passionate
"in deep".
Then there's a new one for
pre-Spring love.

And the counterpart to #myartforyou.
Both inspired by
the late great #davidlynch 's movie
#bluevelvet.
Both highly romanticized versions of
parts of the narrative by RLH.

#hopeyouenjoy!
Be safe, be well, dream on :
Of making every day your own specific
personal version of a
#happyvalentinesday!
🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤❤️

Dear #friendsandfollowers,
the year 2024,
which for #yourstruly was the first full year
#inretirement, and filled with blessings,
is ending.
Time for an #endofyearreview.

First, some #brandnew items:
The #newyearseveparty or rave rant,
a longish piece of #satiricalpoetry
in four parts.
The final version of
"What if it's Christmas, #charliebrown?"
my latest #charlesmschulz #thepeanuts
art homage as a companion piece to
my recent poem of that title.
And
the two #newpoems made with nine lines each,
lifted from poems which were part of either
the #topnine of #followerfavorites or
my own nine #personalfavorites
among the year's posts.

There's an #artvsartist selection and more
of #myartforyou, featuring homage nods to
such greats as #pietmondrian, #renemagritte,
#andywarhol, #barbarakruger, #federicofellini
and, in my #colorjoyous start into '24,
to #henrimatisse.

There are various self portraits and photos
taken by friends, mainly keepsakes of
memorable travels and trips - as from
marvelous times on Crete.
At some of the best beaches, in the
#cretanmountains, my first tour on
a sailboat and being with my Cretan
#familyandfriends in my beloved #agiagalini.

My Dears,
#mygratitude to all who visit, value and support
my #creativeendeavors here, the numerous
#longtimefollowers and many more recent ones!
I wish you the best new year possible,
and as always, please, be safe, be well, dream on
all through a #happynewyear2025!

*Robert Ludwig Hess 🙏😄👋

Dear #friendsandfollowers,
Merry Christmas!
Having reached #christmasday,
with this post my #christmascountdown
for the #festiveseason of 2024
is concluded.

#thankyousomuch to all
who visited Robert's #christmascorner
of wonder, contemplation and merriment!
I trust you found plenty to enjoy,
both in #mypoetryforyou and the extensive
#pixmix selection, including the
#nostalgicadventcalendar.

As for inspiration, I found myself especially
blessed with #christmasspirit this year.
While I did include a few previously
presented #poeticpieces, most of the
#poeticwriting was/is fresh and new - be it
light and #fluffcore, #blackhumor,
serious musings, or cheerfully festive,
#merryandbright. I am thrilled and most grateful!

Until my end-of-year-review post,
let me greet you with the #christmasangel
which now hails from atop my little
#christmastree :
#joytotheworld,
to each and everyone of you!
As always, please,
be safe, be well, dream on!
#yourstruly, *Robert 🤩👋🎄🌟🎶✨
