What a week it has been.

God is so good. We have laughed and cried and rejoiced. We are prayed for you day and night. My little man Arch. I can’t believe that I get to be a dad to you. Life is sweet but you make it sweeter.

And to caroline - you are my biggest Hero! You absolutely crushed it. Archie has no idea He has the best mom in the world. I am a blessed man to be able to be able to raise a child with you.

This is an exciting new season!

This past week was definitely one to remember.

If you would have told me when I was in middle school, Highschool, college that I would be preaching God’s transforming and life saving word I would never have believed you.

Here’s a little bit of my story:
As a little boy until my senior year in high school, I had a really bad stuttering/blockage as I would speak to people in one on one conversations or even amongst friends and groups of people. It was embarrassing. And the hard part was, I loved to talk to people and anyone that would listen to me! Ha! I had always felt a call to ministry and to teach God’s word but never saw how it would be possible bc of this “defect” in my life.

In my senior year of Highschool I was asked to speak at graduation (no i was not the valedictorian hahaha) and I was shocked that they would ask me knowing I struggled with this. BUT I was determined to get this “fixed”, and so through the goodness of God was able to meet with a speech pathologist. I would go after baseball practice, on Tuesday, to her office and was the oldest person in there by at least 10 years… pretty humbling. My speech pathologist helped me in ways I never thought imaginable. After a few months, through her and the grace of God, I felt like I was able to take some massive steps forward in my communication and was able to give share my heart at graduation with no problems.

But through college I was given 2 different opportunities to speak on stage which both failed miserably, and it ended up with me handing the mic back after a few minutes because I couldn’t get through it.

And the question kept coming to mind… “I know I have been called to teach your word but how can you use someone like me? Do you see how bad I have failed? I can’t do this…”

So I continued through college getting a degree in psychology and then got accepted into graduate school thinking that this would be perfect. I can have one on one conversations where I thought this was the best solution, and I can still do ministry there while not talking in front of an audience.

But God had other plans… (I’ll keep it “short”)
