Meet Josie!🦙 She’s a favorite of our farm visitors. Her mom died day she was born so she didn’t get much needed colostrum that first 24 hours & now her immune system is hindered. She’s tiny, but BIG personality! She’s only about 2/3’s size of alpacas her age. Her & Miss Ellie Mae, our oldest & most affectionate Great Pyrenees kinda have this love affair with one another.😍 Jonah, my son, says Josie identifies as a livestock guardian dog. She doesn’t follow social cues & rules of our alpaca herd. She likes to make her own, new poo pile (alpacas have a communal poo pile), she sleeps with guard dogs instead of her herd, she’s overly affectionate (usually alpacas are aloof!), demands to be center of petting sessions & will lay her head in your lap to be pet (usually alpacas hate having their heads touched!). Can you relate to sweet Josie here…?🤣

A Red White and Blue-tiful Decade ❤️🇺🇸🫶🏻
I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I moved to Los Angeles with a one way ticket and one suitcase - and now I’m in Nashville with my husband, new baby girl and the sweetest dog! A decade is a long time to reflect on, but I wouldn’t have experienced such a period of adventure, career growth, personal expansion, travel, and made incredible friends spread across this amazing country if I hadn’t taken the leap. I’m blessed to have two beautiful homes 🇦🇺🇺🇸 Here’s to figuring it out as you go 🥂
