Was doing some visual research for my next couple pieces and came across this. Yup! I'm leaning into 🔥neon🔥 again! Super hyped. And I came across my Flash piece. I'm zooming in like, "how did I do this??" 😂

Lol you can get peaks of my current neon obsession in my wonder woman piece (I'll post the completed pic soon).🥳

There's something about the vibrancy of colour that just screams energy and passion. And I'm here for it. 🙋‍♀️

Stay tuned for my next couple pieces as I delve into the spiderverse.

In the meantime here's some flash.⚡

Can't thank @caronmic enough for the two videos in this post sharing how seeing the piece in person affected him. Legit my eyes misted a bit watching these again. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Happy to paint this piece for you!

Nothing beats a meaningful gift, especially when gifted to yourself.❤ You deserve to be loved on and treated and it's so important to give that to yourself as well and to let yourself indulge in the things that bring you happiness. 🎁

Paintings are more than just decoration on the wall, it's about building a visual repertoire that connects you more with yourself and inspires you while making your spaces feel more special.🥰

Hands down my favourite part of any commission is seeing how much the piece resonates with you and how much it brings you joy! This one carries so much meaning, I'll never forget it.⚡

Art vs. the Artist! Which piece is your fave?😍

I never anticipated the majority of my paintings this year to be superheroes. But it couldn’t have happened at a better time. It’s been one hell of a time with everything going on with Covid. It’s definitely thrown all of our life’s upside down and created turbulence for our mental health. Managing inner turmoil is hard enough without having a global pandemic to navigate, and vice versa. It’s a lot. 💯

What I love about superheroes, is the construct of a hero. A lot of people talk about strength as means for getting through hard times, but I think it has more to do with bravery: the refusal to back down in the face of fear, the courage to get back up after being defeated, to keep trying and holding onto hope when the path seems endless, and to continuously believe in yourself when no one seems to understand. It’s the resilience of the soul that screams, “I’ll walk through the fire and embody the pain of the journey, for the greater good. I refuse to back down. I refuse to give up. I’m unstoppable. I believe defeat is not final.”

It’s been truly empowering to lose myself in these fantasy worlds. I blast their soundtracks and watch the movies to really get my mind into the world of each character. It somehow helps me to bring the piece to life. And I’ve never been more fascinated by the aspect of a hero, a warrior. Or the fantasy to have superpowers to save the world, or even just one life.

Thank you for following along this year! I'd say after all we've been through these last two years, we all have hearts of a hero.❤👊🏼
