First family holiday since school days! And speaking of school …
Good to see the Ol’ Stowe boys reunited, and a visit to Grandma Sue’s, St Catherine’s School, Guilford where she was head girl in 1959.

Road tripping Hampshire this weekend, with Friday night in Brighton with Australian legends Kylie and Nick also in the mix.

Wild Horse Behavior of the Garranos seen on Horseback in Northern Portugal.

So much beauty in the stallion as protector and the mares gathering to receive protection yet ready to respond. As humans, our instinct is to tame, control and domesticate and much has been achieved. Yet, rever these animals for their unspoken yet clear language and their natural survival instinct for fight or flight, only as provoked. See their strength and power not with fear but awe, and even in the arena, these instincts remain.

The horse industry for pleasure or sport can be challenging, but I need moments like these to remember and respect the love I have for these powerful yet intelligent beings that attach to humans despite our often limited understanding of them. Horses need strong, knowledgeable leaders but are we honoring that role…many are but I can do better.

Another reel of amazing moments experienced during the riding trip last week!

Second Trail Ride with lunch along a Roman Bridge. Riding and scenery that reminds you why the history of humans and horses are so connected. Along a path with a good horse is the best way to travel!

I loved this group is so many ways. They were brave, adventurous, gentle in spirit and began the journey of loving the Lusitano in and out of the arena. I want to thank each one of them for their willing spirit to travel and discover something new and their trainers, family and friends who support them and trusted me.

May more come who genuinely love and appreciate this place and the Lusitano as ONE.
