We zijn weer thuis, na een taaie 11 nachten toch 7 vissen kunnen landen waarvan er 3 over de 15kg gingen. Dit was één van de kleinere maar wat een schitterende spiegel!

Elke dag de stek ruim aanvoeren en overdag de hengels eruit werkte gelukkig. De stek bevoerde ik vrij ruim en niet al te compact om de vissen te laten zwemen en zoeken naar het aas. Ik voerde in de eerste dagen redelijk wat tijgernoten om daarna over te gaan op enkel boilies.

20mm en 25mm voldeed prima! Wat me opviel is dat ik totaal geen last had van brasems of kreeften.

A massive, dark river mirror with an impressive build. These are the fish that keep you coming back to the river!

For the first time, I fished 180 metres out in the main current. A nice challenge for one night, but with the strong current and all the debris drifting downstream, definitely not something I'd do again.

Autumn has officially arrived. Cold northerly winds, heavy rain and dropping temperatures. The river is showing a different side of itself!

Back to those warm summer days… arriving at the water, setting up the rods under the warm sun, and settling in for that peaceful wait. No rush, no worries. Just the sound of nature, the warmth of the sun, and the hope of that one special bite.

🎣 Back on the bank!

This past weekend, I had the chance to fish a different venue, thanks to an invitation from Joe. Thanks for the opportunity, mate! 🤝🏽

After drawing a great swim, there were plenty of possibilities to explore. After a good 40 hours of fishing, we managed to get 5 takes and successfully landed 4 fish. 💪🏽

These two young carp made their way into my net. Still small, but certainly no less valuable. Two fish with a bright future ahead of them! 🐟✨

A successful weekend on unfamiliar waters, filled with great moments and some lovely catches.
